Lemon Pepper Smoked Ribs tastes awesome. They are sweet and peppery and have just the right amount of citrus flavor to make you come back for more. I'm smoking these on my Weekend Warrior BBQ Lone Star Grillz Offset Smoker today but you can smoke these on any kind of smoker. Just fire up your pit and get it preheated to 250 degrees F.
The Lemon Pepper seasoning is store bought.
The spritz for the ribs is made up of a simple syrup and lemon juice.
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of hot water
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Feel free to cut this recipe in half if you are only smoking a couple racks of ribs.
Smoke the ribs for three hours, wrap them in foil and continue cooking until they reach your desired level of tenderness.
After the first hour or so, start spritzing the ribs every 20 minutes to build up a nice layer of sweet lemon pepper flavor.
Once the ribs reach your desired level of tenderness, take them out of the foil and spritz them one final time.
