I just wanted to say, sure I get it, this game is pretty flawed, especially when it comes to balance, stage 5 length, level, grinding etc. etc. but you know what? For a STG rouge lite with "choose your own adventure" sort of deal, this game's still holds a spot in my heart and I can't wait to see more experimentation from JynX, he's a madman, but a madman we need.

Hello im 2 years late but the way 3rd spell is actually done is you go to the top left part of the screen when the arrow rain happens so that you avoid the arrow rain easily, and then dodging the ones from the middle in that space until the rain is over. Also right side won’t work as the spinning arrows will go there first

For Rain Arrow, staying close to Mitori is the best idea for the second phase, because you only have to pay attention to a small part of the screen due to how the arrows are angled. Staying at the bottom is the worst possible thing to do, it's quite impossible to keep track of everything that could possibly be aimed at you.

That can still be heard today in the UK with Queen Elizabeth II and in video games where a posh and royal accent is appropriate for a character. Also, Mitori is painful when done blind. Even on easy, Blink of an Eye and Archery Card "Arrow of Certain Death" took most of my lives. For those who bomb-spam, the arrows not being dispelled alongside the boss not being damaged makes it even more difficult. A boss where practice is definitely required. Good luck with Neutral, Omega. Trying to find all the bosses is an enormous pain.

Chouki is a stage 6 boss, thus she can't show up in normal mode as midboss. Tought you can get things like Sanra in Ukifune's room or here Para in the Pagoda that are a bit out of place. And sometimes you get things that totally make sense :/

Part of me kinda wishes you played through the haze and brilliant routes as the new emperor team. Then you wouldn't have had to explain the character's backstories through your comments, since that route is where most of that stuff gets explained anyway.

Full honesty the funniest thing about that twenty minute spheal is that, more than any other weapon, bows really don't depend on a dominant hand. Archery focuses on whichever eye is "dominant" - aka, which one still lines up with what you see when you have both eyes open. Like make a triangle with your hands and look through it, first with both eyes, then close one - then the other. whichever eye is closer to what you saw with both eyes is the dominant one. So Mitori holding her bow 'left-handed' is really kinda silly when the whole thing would have been illustrated better if she had mentioned writing with the 'wrong' hand. XD

Megamanomega, what are the hardest touhou / len'en bosses of each stage? Here are mine: Stage 1: kurohebi, it is like a stage 3 boss on stereoids! Stage 2: i forgot... lets say that its not from old touhou games. Stage 3: meiling for bullet patterns, yuugi for strength. Stage 4: satori for mind reading, yabu&tsuba for skills. Stage 5: clownpiece, with many tricks, she will break all your lives 1 after another! Stage 6: suzumi. You will find out in 39 days why. Stage ex: gengetsu. Let her live and you're down! Not to mention the final phase is impossible...

Out of everything I've fought so far... hmm... Stage 1 - Len'en 1 Kurohebi. Holy hell did JynX start off the game with over the top difficulty. Stage 2 - Touhou 2 Meira or Touhou 15 Ringo. Meira in general's the toughest one I've dealt with cause out of everyone in Touhou 2, she's the one where the lack of focus button hurts the most with how much you have to hang out in the corners. Ringo by herself isn't too bad, but if you're trying to maximize graze points for extra lives she can get incredibly dicey Stage 3 - Touhou 15 Doremy. Out of all the tough Stage 3 bosses she's the one that has the most hard to read attacks. Stage 4 - Concealed the Conclusion Yukari. Many bosses came close such as the bosses that had different attacks depending on the character, but all of them had a much easier set alongside a really difficult set (Patchy, Satori, etc). Touhou 5 Yuki & Mai or Len'en 4 Saragimaru are close seconds though. The dual Yuki and Mai fight and Yuki herself is quite tough, but Mai alone is ridiculously easy. Then Saragimaru is less tough by herself and more I never want to see her as a future stage mid-boss. Stage 5 - Touhou 15 Clownpiece. No surprise there. Unquestionably she is the make or break boss of Touhou 15. Final stage - Len'en 4 Mitori. Made more bearable by the very mechanics of Len'en 4, but many final bosses limit themselves to 1 or 2 really difficult spells and a good number of catch your breath easier spells. Mitori has the most nasty spells that are tough as hell to keep track of across the board. Extra Stage - Touhou 11 Koishi. Admittedly a big part is just getting to her in the first place. But no boss has ever driven me into triple digit attempts and no boss probably ever will. Though Seihou 1 Reimu deserves special mention if only because of Phase 2 alone... Phantasm Stage - Concealed the Conclusion Reimu. Just like the triple digit attempts and similar crazy difficulty Koishi did, this equally drove me up a wall. Though unlike there, the difficulty wasn't equal parts stage, mid-boss and boss, here was all focused on the craziness of Reimu herself. This is one of the few times I really questioned if I'd be able to beat a Touhou game. And this is a game with spell practice mind you.

I finnaly renembered! Here are the changes: Stage 1: same. Both here and the 1st game of the series. Stage 2: hina from th10. They seem simple, but they can be a nightmare! Stage 3: meiling is tougher because her attacks are way to beautifull! Yuugi only has 1 rng part, but i think i can handle it. Stage 4: still no idea, i can't choose... but marisa from th02 is probably the hardest. Stage 5: same. On every single level! ...exept easy. Stage 6: still suzumi. But kaguya, byakuren and junko are all 3 close seconds. Stage ex: gengetsu, reimu, koishi and tsurubami. All 4 are impossible! Xept tsuruchan, but still!

Twenty minutes of talking...I know that Jynx was trying to do some world-building, but this is far too much for a game where the gameplay exists in five-minute increments. There HAD to be a better way to do this.
