This is perhaps the most expressive thing I've ever heard. It's hard to believe a child can put so much feeling into a song.

I knew her since she was about 17, and she still enjoyed singing this one. I now can't hear or sing it without thinking of her. She was amazing.

That was an amazing performance. Compare her here to the girls who've been on recent talent contests who they rave about on here. They don't even hold a candle to her. She had a much better voice and put such true feeling into it, even at such a young age. I think this is the best child performance I've ever seen.

Lena and I used to perform this one as a duet, with me harmonising. It is only recently that I can listen to it again.

Silva Dee and Arthur Kent wrote the song. The late Skeeter Davis recorded the original hit version in 1962, I think.

Yea sawsmith35 - you vex me too. Heres a little girl away from home and beginning a very unique and troubled life. Whats the matter with you? I consider the talent and life of Lena Zavaroni to be the stuff of legend. I read your comments and wanted to tell you what to do with that saw of yours, but I would be no better than you.

I am really sad that I didn't know her before. It would have been wonderful to get a chance to see her in real life and I would try to convince her to eat again. I love you,Lena. Rest in peace. I hope you are more now more beautiful in heaven with los of food. Gesus won't leave you hungry,I know that.

Who, Johnny Carson? He was most of the time, but as with anyone who makes people laugh for a living, he sometimes fell a bit flat.
