she actually reminds me a bit of kim at that age. emotional maturity and connectedness, speed and power (more will come when she's older) and a similar style of choreography. she'll be one of the best in the world in a year or two.

shineluvslambiel true where they differ artistically is that kim was more into the ice queen 'look below the surface' beauty, sophistication and sensuality. even as a junior she looked 25. elena is more a youthful energetic 'everyone get on your feet' skater. when she's 25 she'll look 18. but they are both quite innovative with the way they express themselves and both have that sort of fire/poise/'i'm holding back a bit' that gives it an extra layer of emotional complexity. especially as this is a tango. what's great is that what she features will improve with age because she's not relying on her flexibility.

joon uhm she has a natural feel for the music like not many other skaters. many skaters these days, in order to get their artistry and interpretation scores, rely on some pre-choreographed moments. one, but not only, example is julia's schindlers list. pre-choreographed dramatic start and finish and some pre-choreographed dramatic hand gestures during her very beautiful spirals. the rest she skates over the top of the music with a blank look on her face. but elena has all these flourishes, expressions and accents and skates with every note because she's living the program and not 'acting. it's a natural ability that you can't teach to skate truly with the music. i can't think of many skaters that can do that.

Умница. Великолепное катание. Очень сложные компоненты, высокий темп и качество скольжения. Эмоциональный настрой хороший. За такими фигуристками будущее. А компоненты поднимет еще все впереди. А те кто хаят таких малышек пусть выйдут на лед и сами попробуют исполнить тройной тулуп. И сразу все станет на свои места. Как бабочка пархала на льду.

Абсолютно детское катание. Кроме техники смотреть не на что. Когда же прекратят дети соревноваться с женщинами? О чем думает Федерация Фигурного катания?
