.i picked up 16 vats of sulphuric or accrillic acid in derby for italy Cunio The fork lift guy came out in a full green plastic suit and helmit and wellingtons made me stand by the gate it took him 1 hour to load me ,I got to italy the fork driver came out in shorts and flip flops and unloaded me in 20 minutes britain sucks for rules its a power thing ,And in Europe £9 or £14 for parking with a free meal .

VOSA & the Industry recommend maximum load on Internal straps 400kg, looked like those pallets of water nearly 7-800kgs, needed ratchets straps on every row & cross the back, they are issuing big fines for insecure loading, however we all learn from our mistakes. Great video. Watched the whole 2 hrs. Fpund it fascinating as I trained to hgv last year whilst off work but ran out of money and went back to 7.5t driving. Shame really watching this has made me want to start the course again. I have my provisional (hgv) and cpc and tacho. Maybe one day I'll start lessons again

You did not strap it lol should use corner boards then strap OVER the LOAD Internals are illegal to sucure that type of load think yourself DVSA did not pull you up as it would be a PG9,

Without shadow of a doubt a cross strap on the rear would have helped stop the shifting..hard acceleration is only going make it move ..pretty sure its your load, your responsibility.

Just a thought could it have it been that hill? pehaps you could double cross the pallets at the back by the doors.Remember if you do harsh braking at any time (no blame here) remember the water is a lliquid so it will move about like the sea..Hey ho and up she rises pieces of eight. Hi lena,sorry ive been quite as not been in a good space but watching you does cheer me up😂i definitely felt you're pain on this delivery,i used to work in a warehouse and you're few pallets leaning a little bit was nothing compared to what i used to have to take off and we never rejected a load,i just think that woman at the place definitely had attitude problems and even if it was the water companies fault for not listening it's not you're fault and they shouldn't take it out on you,its a liquid so will move a bit and the only thing you could possibly have done different was to cross you're straps on the back pallets but that would not have been a guarantee,good to hear the bloke saying was it just the one pallet and it looks ok to him so shame he wasn't there the first time,chin up lena it's all good in the end🙂👍

A really hard working vlog with you Lena, thank you for sharing the good and the bad. Looks to me that when carrying bottles/containers of liquid safest is to put plenty of straps on to stop any movement at all. I seem to remember another Trucker carrying bottles of 'Pop' and his load moved because he hadn't used enough straps, lost a lot of it. Take care of yourself!

Lena, that tipping point person who met you on the second visit I think was very rude and offhand to you, then all those people getting involved in should they tip or not, what a load of bollocks, right from the start of your first visit when I saw that one pallet that had moved, I thought what a crock of shit using this as a excuse/reason not to tip the whole load, there was at least three ways to solve the problem, the one used should have been done in the first place, amongst my many tallents I was a forklift driver for many years I have had to handle and tip many loads worse than seen today, still now you know not to do any loads for either company in the future.
