Watched the entire documentary Remembering Lena Zavaroni... what a dreadful tragedy. I am old enough to remember her on Opportunity Knocks but did not realise the extent of her tortured life... RIP Lena you deserved peace and good things for all you brought to others who never even knew you

The person who told her at age 11 or 12 that she was too fat should be ashamed and in hell. That started her fixation on being thin and losing so much weight which eventually led to her death at age 35. Anorexia nervosa

I was the hugest fan of Lena as i was about her age. It does worry me about protocols at the time and why she went on the have anorexia, which is a psychological control thing. She obviously had no control over her own childhood. Looking back now some of the songs she sang were totally inappropriate im afraid, and it pains me to say that as I really was one of her biggest fans
