Hello! I really do not know how it sounded before because I did not try it. The turntable was not in very good shape when I started the project. I had to do some maintenance and install new v blocks and a new idler wheel. And then I also bought a new Denon mc pickup instead of the original Shure M75. Generally I think that a L75 in its original plinth and in good condition should sound very well. I indeed havet another one in original condition for 78 rpm 😁

I have an ADL GT40 DAC / ADC/ headphone amplifier / phono preamplifier. The one I have is the previous version of this: www.adl-av.com/products/usbdac/gt40a/. The rest is fairly standard stereo equipment, mostly home built.

@@kentwesterholm3664 Nice amp, what headphone do you use? The soundstage of the DL-103/103R is very good, so it sounds amazing on a Sennheiser HD800S open back.
