Always looked forward to the Shotz talent show just to hear Lenny & the Squigtone! This is my favorite tune they do! Rest in Peace David Lander. Thanks for all the Lenny & Squiggy magic!

Me too…loved them. But, my favorite is “Night After Night”. As Squigtone mentioned in his introduction of the song…..”…it’s about two nights in a row…”🤣😂🤭 I was about in Junior High when I saw it….and, my siblings and I all of a sudden had that uncontrollable laughter from the beginning until a few hours after the show when we’d sing a part of the song or say “….it’s about two nights in a row”, and start rolling in laughter for a few minutes all over again. Miss those shows back then.

Vintage Hippie - And you know it. If they would be serious, they could probably be heart throbs, as weird as that sounds. But they just sound so good being goofy (minus Squiggy's clarinet playing, of course). Imagine if they were not goofy.

Yes the birth of Spinal Tap indeed. Michael McKesn who played Lenny was David St Hubins of Spinal Tap. And Penny Marshall who played Laverne was the wife of Rob Reiner who was the director of the Spinal Tap “rockumentary.”

I live on the north-side, she lives on the west The west is the worst side, the north is the best Her mudda's a drunk, her fadda's a punk But I know (yes I know) that our love (yes I know) could be real.. But we're star-crossed We're like Romeo & Juliet Star-crossed, she just dont belong in my social set But I know (Yes I know) That someday (someday) The Lord will look our way and we'll be free wooaaaah We meet in the shadows and wish on a star We kiss in a phone booth or under a car Our friends put us down, they say we're a clown! But it hurts (Yes it hurts) Yes it hurts (Yes it hurts!) in my heart And we're star-crossed We're like lollipops and caviar Star-crossed... So we'll drive up to the resevoir Even though (though) its a sin (sin) We'll throw each other in and we'll be free wooaaaah (Play it warm and mellow Squig) *Clarinet solo*

On "live" music shows it was/is common for bands to mime to playback track. The one thing to look for was instruments having no cables. McKean has a cable and is fingering appropriately which makes me think that they are actually playing live to the studio audience.
