Dykstra was the man. I saw him with the Mets at Three Rivers Stadium in Pittsburgh. In center field on the artificial surface, you’d see this big bwown spot grow larger and larger each inning from where he was spitting tobacco juice 😂 He could use that to the teams advantage too. What opposing outfielder in his right mind would want to go diving for a fly ball through Lenny Dyksrra’s tobacco juice? No one would!! 😂 and they would be hesitant about it, thus increasing their chances of dropping the ball, or committing sone other error

I met Lenny Dhystra, will I bump into him in Philly while he was still playing for the Mets. Me and my friends were in the lobby at the Hersey Hotel, where the players stayed. He was juicing before he went to the Philly. It was clear he gained 20 lbs. of muscle off-season. He ran into us and knocked us back. Now we were no punks and we were pretty good size men at that time. I remember we looked at each other like, WTF let's stump him out. And then realized he did push us around like a rag doll. Believe me, when I say when he bumped into us, it was like being hit by a brick wall!

Except for the off the field issues Brandon Nimmo is a lot like Lenny Dykstra.

This was before he accused him of being a racist towards oil can Boyd in game three when he hit that lead off home run in game three. Dykstra sued Ron for it, but the judge dropped the lawsuit because Lenny has had so many problems in the past, that it’s not legally possible to make him look bad.
