This song is fine example of a perfect rock & roll song: a great riff, punchy lyrics, rough straight-to-the-point rhythm, room for cool guitar solos. I mean, you got everything.

Thats because its playback.. at 2:00 you see the drummer playing the Hihat, but you hear a Cymbal. The Guitar sounds too good to be true as well. But the vocals may be live though.

He was huge in the 90's-2007. Now he is more icon status. As for Hendrix, he was here such a short time. Powerful and prolific yet short. Somebody with Lenny's talent had to keep his spirit alive.

so much to like about this version. Damn, that was good. That bass playing was just sick. Guitar solo...sick. Cindy's drumming...tight, in the pocket, not rushed at all. Mix....amazing...love how they had his vocal mic juuusst a bit too hot. The reverb either in the room or added in was fantastic.

Why these performances aren’t compiled and put out on CD/vinyl is beyond me.
@michaelangeloh.53835 жыл бұрын
Nazz Nomad - It is beyond you, because you have to realize a lot of legal stuff comes into play. Like every artist their management or publisher would need to be on board and deals would need to be made with each and every one of them. - They (Stern's company) could probably pull it off, but I don't think they want to bother with the hassle to get out this what would probably be a rather niche product. They're clearly opting to just let these videos out here. Sounds fine and you get to see it. - And believe it or not, even THIS could be an issue. I once saw a video of The Cranberries lice at SNL get released on their own channel, then a short while later it was gone... Probably the company that has the rights to the song didn't agree or whatever. That said, a compilation would be cool. I also still like records. I'd say a video compilation too, but again, it's right here.

First time I heard this on the radio my brother and I were driving back from a friends house after partying all night long, he was following me in his 86' black Astro van and were driving the flat country roads of NW Ohio drunk and high off our asses at 2 am. We had just closed a small furniture store we had opened with a loan from our parents. During Desert Storm our business died and the business was too young to handle it. Anyway, this came on and I jumped out of my truck at a stop sign and told my brother to tune it in. He passed in 2014 but to this day I still see the picture of that moment 27 years ago. Also, Lenny Kravitz and his family are amazing people, all about the love.
