JohnnieRhodes I appreciate your giving your feelings in a respectful manner. It seems that anytime someone disagrees anymore, they're so rude. You weren't. Thanks for that. I'm not sure another human being will ever capture what Prince could, everyone pales in comparison to him. I really liked it for what it was and the intent behind it. They did an awesome job. They're no Prince, though, you're so right.

I commend both of you for being civil. I know what you mean he didn't capture Prince, but I also think its cool he didn't try to,as so many do, its Lenny being Lenny going Prince songs. He really did a different take on them. Brought out elements I hadn't really concentrated on before. Not as good as Prince's but I give props to both of you for restablishing my faith in people discussing things online.

He did that! Regardless of what anyone says. It's your opinion. But let me give you mine, lol. It's called a tribute. Not a sound alike. Lenny is Lenny. Prince is Prince. Both different & unique ; in both their own way. From the.... what normal consider normal. We need more African American artists like them. Lenny made it his own. It was from his heart, respectfully. Jimi, Prince, Tina, Michael, George Clinton, Muddy, Etta, Betty Davis. I can go back. Now days music isn't artful, nor unique. CREATE YOUR OWN SOUND! Too many people wanna be rappers, trap stars, techno, and so on. Great tribute to his friend. And he meant it. In my own opinion. Prince would have loved it. Prince was a all around. He did pop, rock, rnb, blues, alternative whatever. And did ALL very well. How many musicians can you say besides Lionel Richie did so? Bet you he could have done Country to. YOU IN REALITY COULD NOT PUT HIM IN A CATEGORY. But Different. Only one Prince. Lenny Kravitz did that! Only one Lenny. EFFE, (eternal friends forever ).

We owe them such a debt.i can’t recall who it is, one of the great blues musicians, his daughter has some sort of foundation set up to look for copyright infringement on those blues artists and seeks to get them paid their royalties (or rather, their heirs, since they’re all gone now).
