Hi Lenny, just found you page while looking for reviews of this Nightstick light. I have other Nightstick lights, they are very good quality, but their customer service is THE BEST! Problems with your light? They will normally just send you a new one! What I mean is, I have one of their 850XL lights on a gun and it fell off at the range. Not a "warranty" issue as such, probably an installation error on my part. I emailed them asking about repair charges for it, assuming warranty would not cover it, and they simply sent me a new one, no problem! So fwtw, they Do back their products 100%... and more! Oh, subscribed, too! P.S. - I have one of these 550XL-GL lights on the way from Bayco, shipped today!

If your in the dark and then turn on your light, are you not illuminating your position for your enemy?

So you flash it on him a couple times, like a strobe, that shows you his position but seriously disorients him, messes up his vision to give you a couple seconds anyway to go from there. And as bright as these lights are, if it's actually left on, all he will see is a super bright area of light, he certainly will not see the body behind it... ergo, cannot find a point to aim at if he has a gun. You try it, have someone shine a light of similar brightness at you in a somewhat darkened room! Just my non-professional thoughts!

Good luck. Read thier reviews, you're not alone. I drove an hour an half to the store because i got tired of waiting. Slow day when I got there, could't get the asshole "helping me" to help me find and buy baseplates. Got my internet barrel slowly while curtly and shortly answring my questions, including " I don't know" about several of their baseplates. Review after eview after review says the same. Pathetic. WIlson combat great prices for glock stuff like triggers etc.

Is it a normal practice for them to list items on their site and only after purchase you get notices that they're out of stock? I had 2 orders with them and the first one I got a notice of the part being out of stock right away. My current order which is 8 days ago still shows pending fulfillment and the item I had ordered is showing backordered now. Bout ready to cancel that one and never order from them again.

I’m actually waiting exactly 2 days to order the olight mini with the upgraded adjusting slide mount for the price of 85$ the Olight summer sale starts 7/27 adds 15$ off of products 99$ & over. I currently run my TLR-7 which has a more white & concentrated beam than Olight with decent flood to cover my whole house & backyard, but the Olight doesn’t need a 12$ battery, a tool to tighten & has a green built in laser. Wish i knew about this light before I got the TLR-7 but despite it not having a laser now which isn’t as important as a quality beam since I run a pair of TFX TruGlo pro sites which I have no regrets purchasing for my XD-40 but a laser can come in handy when layin down in a really tight position or situation where you have to take cover while needing to get an accurate shot off quickly on a target firing back at you that’s when a laser will save your ass boy.

CR123a batteries are only $3 each for top of the line panasonic. The problem with your Olight, is when the battery no longer recharges, its worthless. I think thats reason to pay a bit more for a light that can last a lifetime because the battery is replaceable. Not to mention the worst thing you can do with a rechargeable battery is let it sit long times without use, which is likely on a gun light. And unless you happen to sight your laser at the exact same distance your threat ends up at, it wont even be accurate, yet alone save your ass....boy

It’s probably a gen 1 they make an adaptor. Glock store has them as well as other places. Search rail adaptor for gen 1 17

I bought one of the lights with a laser and I have to say... I do love it. But when I then purchased my holster for the Glock with Lasers... it does not "click" to the holster and secure it. There is no way to secure your weapon in the holster if it has a light/laser.

Pretty cool. Although, the only laser I will put on a carry gun is one that activates on draw or like a crimson trace where it is pressure activated. Doubtful you will have time to flick a laser on in a self defense situation. But, it does seem pretty cool as a bedside/home defense tool, where you hopefully will have plenty of time to click it on if needed.

Crimson Trace is $400 with tax at their website. No light included. Must be removed from gun any time you clean the weapon. Then reinstalled and calibrated which is not as easy as the Nightstick Laser.

The problem with using a gun light to identify a possible target in the dark is that if it's not a criminal you have just committed aggravated assault. Always use a separate flashlight to identify targets, not your gun light.

Re: Nightstick Compact Weapon Light with Green Laser Although not purchased at GlockStore I have returned two of these for defects. One is that once the bezel is screwed in to secure the battery it forces the battery so far into the body of the battery compartment that negative end contact is lost and the light only flickers and the modes cannot be enabled and changed, rendering the unit useless. Also the battery becomes lodged in the compartment after installation and can't be removed or changed. The On/Off is a circular dial that almost has to be almost completely unscrewed to rotate it. On one of the lights the controls were marked correctly but were upside down in actual attempted operation and the laser could never be adjusted and zeroed anyhow. Piece of garbage. Made in China. Avoid.
