Huh, I just ordered one of these today and now I find this video. Picked this up because I found it here in Sweden for only about €750, to replace my very, very old Toshiba Satellite from 2012. Looks like this will be an enormous step up. While I'd love to get something even more high-end, this was just at the top of my price range at the moment.

I’m enjoying the Gaming 3i a LOT. because it is my first time entering a gaming experience. It can play virtually all games at max, with great fps at 1080p. If you have been always gaming at higher resolutions this laptop isn’t really a necessity for you (it’s still great tho). On the other hand if you have never experienced quality gaming then it will be amazing 👍🏽 especially for its price

I'm just glad to see AMD Ryzen CPU's appearing in many more laptops then just being given the Intel only option. I have personally laptops with both Ryzen 4700U and Intel 10750H and both perform well, but the AMD laptop gives a much better battery life for what I do. Another great review from Jarrod's Tech :). Looking forward to the next laptop review. I know Jarrod Tech does laptop reviews, but sometimes I would like in addition, laptop external graphics enclosures and associated laptop peripherals which give enhanced laptop performance. (not like mice / keyboards etc)

The thermals for this laptop is very good, on full load cpu maxed at 78C, GPU at around 70C (overclocked). But the fans are pretty loud. Turn it down to balance mode and the cpu can get to 88C, GPU at 74C.

Bought the exact same laptop 3 weeks ago! How did you get freesync working? When I check Radeon software it says freesync not supported :( Also had a problem within a week of purchase where the screen was stuck at 120Hz and didn't have an option to change to 60Hz, ended up installing a 3rd party software to create a custom resolution for 60hz 1920x1080. Overall experience has been great though.

Finally its here! Jarrod is reviewing my laptop. I bought this in india for $930. Here legion 5 costs around $1100. Pros : it looks simple and one can take it to office and public places with out people starring at them, Ryzen 4600h runs cooler compared to intel, keybords are so good to type, 1650ti is ideal for running most games at high settings, built quality is strong Cons: in india display comes with 60hz panel and my unit has noticeable backlight bleeding, brightness is only 250nits which is not ideal for outdoor use, speakers are just average, also colour accuracy is just average, moreover it has only 2 USB type A ports

@Setzer K i use this laptop for MS Office, minor video editing and daily gaming. Bro, that flipkart model uses ddr5 1650 whereas current gen 1650 and ti model runs on ddr 6. yes ryzen 4600h is much faster compared to 8th gen i5. like I said Ryzen runs cooler than intel, idea pad also has 3200mhz ram clock speed which is far better than i5 8th gen modles. moreover Ryzen uses less TDP power, and importantly i prefer AMD over intel these days. This laptop also comes with free MS Office 2019 which is a great deal for me.

And now i get 2020 model lenovo laptop with MS office on board. And the dell with 5500m has only 3gb vram. Also i found that 1650ti runs similiar to 5500m in games. U are Right the 70k Price tag is higher for 1650ti, but what to do, u know how things work in india (its always over priced at launch). Got the Legion 5 with 4800h and same graphic. what i can say is, if the 1650ti is paired with great cooling and 4800h, its actually quite great, but interestingly 4600h performs 7-12fps lower with same graph.

@@luffy2958 the thermals and battery life on my laptop are good. Sure you get better battery life on a laptop without a dedicated gpu. But I had an older laptop with a I5 8300H and GTX 1050TI and this ryzen 5 cpu with GTX 1650TI has a way better battery life. Also the thermals are very good. Getting around 65-75°C (149-167°F) while gaming and a 35-40°C (95-104°F) idle temperature. When not using the laptop the laptop fans go off (I've never had that happen on my old laptop). But yeah the ryzen 5 4600H uses all the benefits of AMD's 7nm Zen 2 architecture, so that means a significant boost to efficiency over previous-gen parts.

Fun fact about this laptop (I have the Windows 11, Ryzen 7 4800H and GTX 1650Ti 4GB, 8GB DDR4 3200 MHz RAM version). It can actually run Far Cry 5 on Max settings with HD Textures enabled. While it does mention that the VRAM limit is exceeded, the game actually runs over 60 FPS throughout with no issues, only a few dips into maybe the 40s or so (that is noticeable but like... not a big deal since it goes straight back to over 60 anyways). Of course, while it's only like 0.19 GB VRAM more over the limit, it's still worthy to note this.

When not gaming, battery lasts me 4 hrs from full charge 100% to 20% remaining. Thats on 80% brightness, keypad backlight on max, about 6 big excel files and 3 word files open, 4 tabs + netflix open on chrome.

Edit 1: 1050Ti Mobile (I use) was 28-30% faster than 1050 Mobile but the 1650Ti Mobile doesn't seem to be a big upgrade over the 1650 Mobile.

I'm planning to buy a laptop soon, so i wanted to ask u if i should go for the acer nitro 5 with r7 4800h, gtx 1650ti and a 144hz refresh rate, or the lenovo in this video but with a r7. But there's a downside with the Acer. I went in multiple stores and none of those stores had the nitro packaged, which means that everyday it sits opened. On the other hand we have the Lenovo which is packaged and is cheaper with 100$. So the only thing I'm kinda not sure about is the performance and 120hz refresh rate.

I sort of talk about that a bit in the review, depends on budget, this is a little better in build quality and screen, but about 10% more money and Nitro still has better battery.
