Hey, thanks for watching! Glad I could help. I would think so, unless games really start pushing multi-core. I would say it won't be the processor as the limiting factor it will be the video card though.

My favorite laptop up till now has been the Legion Y740 with the i7 9750h and the 2070 max-q.Fantastic laptop. Currently with the Scar 17, i7 10875h RTX 2070 super I got for under $1000.

Stumbled into your channel couple days back and saw few of the gaming laptop review series. Recently viewed the Hp Omen 2019 vs Hp Omen 2020 vs Asus ROG Strix G17 In your full review of Lenovo Legion 7i please benchmark it against Asus ROG Strix G17 and Dell XPS 17. I am looking forward to new laptop with gaming capability, content creation and data processing. Also a bit of RGB Currently using HP Probook 450 G2.

If you are looking for the best performance for the money, then Alienware is the best based on what I tested so far.However I am still testing this unit and it is pretty close.

This is my first Laptop ever and I love it. Its fantastic. Allways have desktop PC, but this is a no way back after this.. The battery life is very bad, tho.. but plugged in, its not bad at all. The looks is fantastic, minimalist, professional, very good aluminium chasis. Temps on games all ultra are 90/93° for the CPU.. a little bit high for me, stock paste I think.. but undervolting its a must.

I have one with the same specs. How are your temps? Mine is overheating. It reaches upto 100°c in Aida64 stress test. Also I am getting current/edp limit throttling in Intel Xtu during benchmarking. Does it happen on your unit as well?

I heard the 2070 super version it has a good cooling system with a silent fan noise. Is it true? For 2200 euros not that bad i think.

Williams Marquess I have the 10750H/2070Super version and it’s the quietest laptop I’ve ever owned. It also never went above 89C even after 2 hours of hard gaming. I’ve owned ASUS and MSI in the past, both of which I had to undervolt or liquid metal paste to keep under 95.

That is the industry average. So if you primary use is indoors you will be fine.

I have this exact spec / configuration and I love it! The screen is fantastic! I've been putting it through it's paces for about a month and this thing is a beast! My only complaint, is the Corsair program (ICUE) for the backlighting to the keyboard which is easily fixed by just disabling the Corsair service, otherwise it'll eat away at the battery. I've also went into the advanced BIOS and enabled XTU and undervolted the CPU -0.125mv and my thermals have been great! Every game I throw at it at high to Ultra settings plays buttery smooth. I paid $2,300 for mine...couldn't pass it up! Keep up the good work!

That is great Aaron! Thanks for sharing. I have been able to get -96mV stable on this unit. I'll keep that in mind. I'll do another battery test with that off. I have not been getting the claimed 7hrs. Thanks for watching!

@@CETechTips I started at -0.80mv, then went up to where I'm at now with no "BSOD" stable. And as for the battery...yeah it's more like 5-6 hours with a few tweaks. I look forward to your review...take care 😉

CE Tech Tips I do enjoy/appreciate the aw’s keyboard as well. Just wasn’t sure on thermals, battery, g-sync vs the legion not offering it. Mid tier build rtx2070 on the AW and 2070 max q on the Lenovo, price is about 50$ difference. All things considered, still the AW?

@@larsgibsonsmelker1365 I would do the Legion for the battery and the screen, the 240hz, Dolby Vision 500nits is stellar. It is real close though. Tonight I needed the battery so that is what I would want. 90 minutes doesn't cut it with the 300hz panel with AW.
