Right out of the box, this laptop felt so right. Based on how much power it's packing underneath, it felt remarkably right. The fit & finish was top notch. So was it all I hoped it would be?

@@cold1725 No but I suggest you to go with ASUS ROG GL503 series .. This build quality is not good and it has some wifi problems for my laptop. My Brother got ASUS ROG one .. It's far better than this one in all aspects .. Go with it . Search in Amazon

Lenovo's Fan always goes nuts. I have an old Lenovo Laptop (it not a powerful laptop by any means even for it time.) and it always spin up or spin down, even if I just sitting on desktop doing nothing. Never had any thermal throttle with it though. It wasn't a gaming laptop (not even close) maybe some light gaming, but i got it for school and now just looking to have a major upgrade.

I have had this laptop for about two months and it is great, mine has a 60hz screen and smaller ssd but 1tb hdd. I love this laptop, I think the build quality is great and it plays games at high-ultra at around or above 60fps. The fans can get loud, but it doesn’t bother me.

Kevin Llerena when idle and undervolted, I get around 44-50 Celsius. When gaming on Apex it would hit 94 Celsius

I got the 256gb ssd 1tb hdd , 1060 6gb and I7 8750h variant of the Lenovo y7000p from costco for only 899$ which is a pretty good price the specs not to mention the much better chassis of the laptop compared to the more gamery and childish aesthetic of the helios 300

y730 is the higher-end model. You can compare this with y530, and after that it comes to the personal preference.

Idk I would go for it. The trackpad is much better than the cramped one w/ buttons on the y530 as I am also a Mac user. Gaming laptops come with them but it’s not like you can use a trackpad to game anyways and I’d rather have the real estate. Keyboard was great for the price good travel. This also has a cleaner design than the 530 or 730 and according to notebook check over 6 hours battery life web browsing instead of 4 on the y530. I think it’s a US exclusive so you won’t find a place to buy it online but if you can grab it for a good price I’d do it. Great design for the price for work/school not gamery. Great performance for the price. Decent screen and all around better design than the y530 or the y730. That said I got a real lemon with the y530 I got barely a months use out of it and It’s been back and forth from Lenovo 3 times w/ no fix. Disk write errors keeps crashing and I keep losing all of the data on the hard drive. Still waiting to get it back but it’s been 3 months back and forth and so much wasted time that I cannot afford. If you want to reinstall you can’t do it with a standard w10 installation. They have their own special tool and it is annoying. Hopefully they will fix it or just replace it but at this point I would gladly return it or sell it and buy another. Too late to return and can’t sell it broken unless I want to sell it as is for cheap. Probably just me so take it with a grain of salt but I ended up with a laptop that is basically just a paper weight after moderate to heavy use and as a gaming laptop that is what I bought it for. All it does is crash and have read/write errors even after a hard drive replacement.

It's really good in thermal power I played rocket league for like 3 hours before it heated up to a sorta hot feeling when you touch the keyboard it has a good cooling system It's very capable for many games
