It still is a good GPU, you can play almost all games on it at high settings just not the newer UE5 ones and tbh even my RTX 4080 system struggles with those because they’re just so horribly optimised. Get the RTX 3050 and you probably won’t be disappointed. If you want any suggestions for specifically which laptop feel free to ask as i’ve used almost all mainstream laptops.

You don't have to do too much, just keep your laptop as cool as you like while gaming and don't use it directly on a blanket or bedsheet. Try to always use it with a laptop cooling pad. And keep your laptop as clean as possible (cooling vents) so that your thermals remain goods....And yeah one more thing that always use your system with power plugin...So that you can get better performance and if possible, set your system to the best power efficiency mode from Windows Settings.
