I bought this tablet on sale during Boxing Day at Best Buy for 100 Canadian dollars. I bought it because my previous tablet the Blackberry Playbook had its charging port broken and the maker discontinues it for a long time. That tablet was a 7 inch with 1gb of ram which was the main reason I didn't go for the Lenovo Tab M7 tablet, as it was certain the latter is going to lag. I bought for my relative who can't read so she can't use a computer and we don't want her to mess our smartphones, but we put a library of videos and photos to keep her busy offline, especially during the pandemic. My other relative uses it to play casual games like Candy Crush and it's obviously more convenient because of the screen size compared to smartphones. I did a little bit to testing on this tablet with video game console emulators and it go up to Dolphin in which it really lags. I don't really use it smart hub features because we don't have any smart devices but the charging dock was an attractive feature for us, for being able to charge the device in 2 different ways. Great video review, it's been a month we have it and we're still satisfied.

@@princesssme4262 I just returned the galaxy tab A 8 inch 2019 model for this today and it still comes with the smart charging station and gives you the option to use an SD card for internal storage

@@josephhall7317 The charging station is great and I think it should be the future standard for tablets and phones for a 2nd charging option, especially since defective ports are a common problem imo.

@@AznKei1 yea I ended up ordering the Lenovo tab m10 fhd plus and it didn’t come with a charging station so I went to Walmart and bought the m8 and took the charging station out and returned the tablet at another Walmart lol had to get the charging station somehow didn’t see it online anywhere

I think Lenovo made a compromise by cutting back on some things. On their website it states that the screen was designed to cut back on blue light that could reflect on why the screens brightness is not great in natural lit environments, take that as you will. However, in terms of battery life, this is good so there's your compromise. The processor is entry level on the market and at this tablets price point that's what you're gonna expect. Cameras on tablets personally are probably one of the most unused and obsolete features of a tablet unless you're using it for videos calls etc.

I've ordered one to get back into college with to do work on etc. I dont mind about the brightness my phone is always somewhat low and is rarely put up high my eyes are too sensitive for that. I'm in the uk at its £110 for me came up to £138 for VAT for 3 years and delivery. Quite happy for that cant wait to get it.

Is the Hulu app compatible with this tablet? I’ve bought budget tablets before and run into a problem where I couldn’t download some of my favorite streaming apps because they weren’t compatible with the device.

I got 3 😁 . I also got an iPad air last week and I'll be honest, I haven't touched it since I bought this tablet it's really amazing. It's no iPad air but for the price and the size it's definitely fun. Also I found that putting a sd card and moving as many apps as possible to the card helped with the lag and stuttering. It's being really smooth. I'm loving it.

Hi, this tablet comes with Android 10, I don't know if it's from the version, but the three navigation buttons don't appear at the bottom of the pages. How do I fix this? There is no option to add them in the settings.

Researching on this tablet too… based on BHphoto website M8 HD (2nd Gen) is the older single speaker model… the Smart Tab M8 (dual speakers) is the later model

I second that request. Since there is no instruction manual for transferring videos, music or still images (commonly called photos) it would be nice to see an instructional video on transferring with a Mac.

Yes, you would need internet service and an attached router to make your home a wi-fi haven.

They made the 8 inch pro for 79$ and it has dual processors I’ve only tried the display model but it was a lot faster than the galaxy tab A 2019 8 inch model

I bought a m8 3rd generation last week in UK it does have usb c. 3gb 32 storage 1200 x 800. Updated to android 11. Battery is good. One speaker is ok. Screen could have better ppi but it's OK.
