I bought the Lenovo M8 a year or two ago. Always had terrible issues with WIFI which is well documented on the users' site. 5G is almost impossible and 2.4 is just barely adequate. Add to that the fact that it is very slow made me, finally, go out and buy the A7 Lite. Great Wi-Fi and it may not be super fast but it blows the doors off the M8,

Well consider my Q to be answered! I wanted Sam anyway, ever since my first smartphone in very early '16, I been stuck ever since. My first tab was in '17, also a Sam. I saw that Walmart's was going to sell Lenovo a bit cheaper, but, nah, go with plan 1, Sam. I am more liable to know what I get into, plus, I am die hard Sam and the self explanatory of it. Edit: I live in the rural, never mind it is in a neighborhood and not in the woods, but WiFi barks worse than a Rottweiller Canine!

I believe you are correct. The bad thing is that Samsung could even make that a7 lite 8 inch better but they are afraid it won't sell - stupid Samsung. It will sell !

Picked up the 3gb m8 fhd from walmart on a limb because it was $69. Now at that price, its a killer tablet, and came with android 11 out of the box with several small security updates, maybe 4. The value here is crazy.

FYI for watchers, the M8 DOES have usb-c. I went against buying it as micro-usb was a dealbreaker, but then I looked at the pics and it does have USB-C. I'll be buying this instead, as it's $69 compared to the $129 price of the A7 lite. That is a huge price difference for what is very comparable. Keep in mind I'm only buying the M8 to read ebooks and manga on Tachiyomi. Will try to update this with my thoughts once I buy it this Friday.

Different generation bruh. But can't fault you, they should have it in their name as tab m8.2 or something. Makes buying tablet from the online marketplace very difficult having to always verify that I am paying for the correct generation

I bought the M8 to use as the interface for flying my drone, pleased to say it does the job well and fits into my controller perfectly. The A7 would be too big to use without an additional tablet holder

Hi. I need to buy a small tablet because all the ebook readers in commerce are incompatibile with Chromebook/Chrome OS - ADE can't recognise and authorise the device. Which one is the best considering that reading would be my main purpose? What about screen and light quality and the possibility to adapt the latter (colour, intensity etc etc). Thanks!

i find just looking at specs to buy a tablet is a bad idea, often there are chinese tablets way cheaper than an iPad or a Galaxy Tab.. but when you use it the experience, software wise and build quality wise may not be on par. some chinese brand tablets i tried, have issues with heat, and some have their casing split open at the sides after months, not sure if its due to the adhesive holding the casing together, or the heat generated. i think i would still to stick to tablets from more well known brands even if i have to save a few more weeks to afford it.. it will give a better user experience and last for years.

If we root the Lenovo Tab M8 and Uninstall the unwanted system apps, bloatwares it will become blazing fast like a 6gb ram device...i did that and i get very good frames in asphalt 9 and CODM , which was earlier not at all possible to play in my device because it's 2gb ram version...

I think Lenovo M8 is better especially the full HD version.it's way lighter. Also Samsung cuts too many simple features off from their budget tablets, very simple things like screen casting/mirroring, second monitor and etc. I'd go with m8

Samsung is better, better speaker, usb C, better geekbench score, longer software support,

I tested the geekbench score on the Samsung and it is only a tiny fraction better. Better in some areas, worse in others. In my experience, the UI is far more sluggish compared to the Lenovo. And the touch screen sampling rate is much slower which makes the Samsung feel less responsive.

I bought the Lenovo 8 inch full hd a year ago. It has superior video. It Ran well for 3 months, then, it turned into a hunk of junk: Freezes, wifi problems, not optimized for Gmail to the point where it can barely Run it. They are coming out with a 2023 gen 4 of this but are severely downgrading the processor and resolution. MY opinion: they emphasize cheap parts to save money and lower consumer prices while posting impressive specs, over consumer quality. I also just tested today, a len 10 inch new 3rd gen tab today at micro center for an hour. It freezes, has problems and harder to navigate. I am through with lenovo.

@@samynaeem3975 Bought Lenovo, great resolution but there are flaws in the case and screen was not glued properly. Moreover SW update ruined some system features and got fixed (still misses some) back so I totally regret buying Lenovo. I really wish I bought A7 Lite back then.

@@FishBeeProductions If it wasn't a budget or not on display at Wal-Mart or Best Buy, I likely haven't tried em I don't exactly have the luxury of getting a $1k+ tablet to enjoy gaming in lower quality/performance than on my laptop in BlueStacks I'll leave those "high end" overpriced tablets to the luxurious who have hundreds of $$$ lying around and nothing better to spend it on :p I went thru many lenovo tablets in the span of 30 days (returning them and trading em in for another) until I just decided on the Galaxy Tab 7.0 (SM-T280) in which my mobile games weren't freezing up for seconds at a time. Or counting the pixels of a 720p 10" tab smh I may not have had tried a high end Lenovo, but I'm just gonna stick with Samsung. And I'll avoid as ^uch chinese hardware and software as possible
