Lenovo Thinkpad T495 initial look: should older ryzens be on your list?

I'm looking to get one of these for my son how does it handle a free game like Runescape 3?

I wpuld also recommend minimal Windows ISO,the less processes the better for the CPU.

I bought the T495 (non s) laptop in uk with a ryzen 5 pro for £100. Added a 16gb extra ram stick and a wd blue 1tb nvme. It hangs at times I’m going to repaste next week hopefully this helps. For the money it has a nice enough screen for general tasks.

Update. re-paste seems to have solved hanging the old paste was dry and crusty. Heaven benchmark increased by over 120pts also. used mx4 paste.

I got an offer for 200 euro (180ish GBP) with a 1-2cm permanent scratch on screen… don’t know if I’d go for it
