What would be useful when you do the display test is to test how low the brightness goes. This is for business users who fly frequently and need granular brightness control for night flights. Loved the review, lots of gotchas going for the IPS model. The 64gb ram model and swapping out the disk for a 4/8Tb ssd seems the way to go. Great port selection. I do wonder what this would be like with an AMD strix point chip in it.

Hey Andrew, any chance you could test your notebooks on Linux as well and perhaps comment if the performance varies a lot? Some of us use Linux on our notebooks! Not everyone enjoys the excess bloatware in Windows :D

Thanks for the video. I like Lenovo hardware and have owned several. Lenovo always says they'll offer cellular models. I have never seen one offered for sale, on their site.

The option is in the site for this particular model. However, I do not see an option for the wifi 7.

Really Good review and appreciated I need your personal opinion b4 buying Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 2K or FHD have more battery life, comparatively how many hours difference General Use.

I was impressed and i was considering buying one, untill i saw the performance and Geekbench results. It's premium but it's too weak comparing to other options, Px13, Specture, omnibook ultra flip, surface pro. It gives out much less power even comparing to cheaper Pz13. Being a 2 in 1 doesn't mean it should come with such a low performance. The px13 has the twice CPU power and a RTX 4050 with the same price.

Hi. I just placed this order for close to USD 2500 (India). Will arrive in a few weeks. Can I ask for your feedback on the color of the keys? The color seems pretty poor to me. I used an X1 Yoga Gen 6 in the past (4 years ago). It was also a Grey color lappy but the keys were fully grey with metallic feel, but the keys in the video look plasticky and without life. Is the look really bad in person?

The Sensel seems like a big upgrade as far as the touchpad, which is a big deal for those who need to work without a mouse. I'd say overall the Sensel / OLED may be worth it if on sale.

@geej2143 ай бұрын
In order to get the 64GB memory upgrade, you have to upgrade to an Ultra 7 165U vPro processor. Choose the "Build Your Own" to configure it, and If you sign up for "Rakuten" you'll get a cash back discount. Also, I ordered mine with the Microsoft Start browser and received a huge eCoupon Savings. Prior to me adding Office 365 during configuration, the "eCoupon Savings" wasn't available.

Video -- slightly pale colors, somewhat pixelated. Good sound. Lots to like. Will they have a similar one based on the new AMD processor? (Z zeries?)

This X1 model is BADLY plagued by poor cooling. It gets very HOT to the touch, especially on the side with usb-C, HDMI ports. It becomes virtually unusable, and that is under very light load. I had to buy a cooling stand from Amazon to use this thing for extended priods on my desktop. I thought of returning it to Lenovo but I have since upgraded my SSD so not sure if i've not already invalidated the warranty. If you are looking for a cool-running laptop, I'd stay away from the X1 variants. I use a T14 at work and it doesn't get this problem.

I think they need to step up their QC. I got this a few months back. The keycaps felt a bit smaller than the X1 Carbon 12th gen. On mine, one of the keys wasn’t working, so I had to ask for a replacement. Unfortunately, the new one had a misaligned lid. I ended up getting a refund and bought the X1 Carbon 12th gen instead, which, luckily, turned out fine.

Ok so when will these 2 in 1’s get the lunar lake chip? And do they come in 15-16 inch? Is the Thinkpad X1 series more of a premium version than the Yoga series?

Hopefully soon. I am waiting on Lenovo to send me the X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition.
@RobertLindberg-cv3vjАй бұрын
@@andrewmarcdavid Ah yes I have seen this one too. That will be interesting. Having been an Apple person since forever (the ipad pro 12.9 since 2018 as my daily) it’s fun to see all these options on the windows side. But a bit of a jungle with all the options. My favorite would be the yoga slim aura edition because of the 15.3 inch screen (hopefully with oled, but i remember you said the IPS screen was good) it doesnt have the numeric keypad which I like, i dont use that. But most of all I would love it as a full 2 in 1. Why oh why didnt they make it with a 360 hinge.

Guess my Gen 7 will just have to last a little bit longer. No pen silo or pen with a clip, no buy. Easy as that. It's one thing to avoid innovation, but removing features doesn't deserve rewards. They also never noticed that the notch sucks for tent mode. Obviously, it's only useful for traditional clamshell designs. But they just dgaf.
