So meta... I'm watching a review of the GPD Duo on my GPD Duo. This is my first time traveling with the device since I purchased it, and I'm really enjoying it. At home, I use it docked with a Minisforum DEG-1 + RTX4070Super over Oculink. Makes an excellent desktop at home and so far has been a great laptop for travel. It's a chunky laptop, but I think it's worth it.

Awesome device...but for this price, you can buy an Asus laptop with RTX 4060, which has three times the power of Radeon 780M. If the price was lower this would have sense. Lenovo Lgion Go costs half fhe price with the same graphics card and even higher portability.

After watching your review of this AIO, I just had to get one to replace my older HP AIO I've been using for the last 6 years. I went on HP official website and compare it to BestBuy. There's a $600 difference. So I do what any sensible person would do, I got one from HP and with the money I've save I also pick up a Laser Jet printer. And I use HP interest free financing if any of your viewers are wondering and are interested. For me, it's the best of both worlds. I'm getting a great product and don't have to pay in one lump sum. Thank you for this review.

Only thing I dislike is they put the audio jack on the right side (why???), apart from that this is pretty much as close to laptop perfection as it gets (with a 3:2 screen it would be flawless).

Hiding your eyes behind sunglasses, even on a promotional drawing, does not necessarily help, as far as I am concerned. For the rest: super informative review.

your review made me believe a bit more that $653 (taxes included) were a good option for Lenovo Slim 7i Intel (14”) with 125H and 16Gb RAM (yes, I know, it is not as powerful as the one displayed in your review). I hope it will last 4 years as my IdeaPad S340 and continues to work.

Hi between this X1 fold and the yoga book 9i which one would you suggest ? I plan of playing visual novels for language learning. I prefer the looka and feel of the yoga book but afraid it will be inferior in terms of power.

I want this so much. Do I need it? No. Can I afford it? Technically, but it would be unwise. However. I really want to support the engineers who are doing something cool and new instead of just re-using the same form factor as the past twenty years, and also this seems like it would solve every problem I have with feeling cramped and awkward trying to multitask on a laptop screen, plus just be a gorgeous machine. I will say, your review has gotten rid of a lot of the apprehensions I had about it. I've had a good experience with GPD before, but investing that much money in something from a small company, that's operating on the other side of the pacific if anything goes wrong, makes me nervous, you know? Seeing you take a random unit off amazon instead of a review sample, then talk about the build quality and the keyboard feel and all the other little things that make for a good user experience instead of just an adequate one in the years to come is very reassuring. So, thank you. The sheer amount of time spent on windows updates though... definitely convinced me to dual boot it into linux.

Seems like a waste. I bought a new Lenovo ($1600). Then I took my old 10 year old hp (black Friday 10 years ago) and put a new SSD in it ($60). Booted both. The new $1600 one booted up 5 seconds quicker. Brand new $1600 laptop compared to a 10 year old budget ($200 ten years ago) and the new one booted up only 5 seconds quicker. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. That was the only difference. Between a budget processor from 10 years ago and a new Intel core. From a $200 laptop and a $1600 dollar one. Both running windows 11. Can you wait a extra five seconds? Or wait a extra 20 minutes video rendering? Have a cup of coffee? If you can you probably dont need a new laptop. When they compare bench marks look at the last YEARS not just the current and last gen on the data screen. If you look at the years past you'll realize there isn't a drastic change. In fact some from last or a couple generations ago are on par or faster than the current.

I believe the 32GB RAM only is due to the limitation of Lunar Lake's architecture which is directly integrated in the CPU (so you gain some on weight and space). I've read somewhere that Intel CEO said this is the first and last time they're doing that.
