Fun Fact - IC's that need to be programmed also have a small circle embossed in the IC, not to be confused with the the dot indicating pin 1. You can see this on the IC Sorin is replacing.

he's using Svod4, i thinks is 600 USD with adaptaers, could be more could be less, there are cheapers programers like the Vertyanov

As all the pins on the EC are accessible and there's no pad under the chip wouldn't it be easier to use an iron to tack it down and then go over the rest pins? Less heat to the chip as well presumably.

Sorin, How are you doing?? What if the mainboard has a separate EC rom chip and the EC chip is separate. In that case, if we replace the EC chip will it work properly and still load the firmware from the Ec rom?? Love your work ❤

9:40 No not really, pins sitting on a mountain of solder, not flat onto the pcb pads. Still waiting for the day when you solder the chip the correct way which _actually_ takes half the time of your dodgy way lol!

Hi, Sorin. I have Aspire f5-573, which turns on, but without image. I will try with bios flash, but what is confusing me is that, when it's on, cpu and gpu are ice cold. Can it mean that cpu is dead?

Check whether the caps lock is working, preferably with a usb keyboard. If yes, it's posting! Sometimes it can be a frozen BIOS! So reset the BIOS. Check the screen too! Only go in for BIOS flash as a last resort! The CPU, GPU gets hot only under load! So don't jump to conclusions.

Because the chips are made by different semiconductor factories. Not because they are fake. For an example, Texas Instruments, they have semiconductor factories in Mexico, Portugal, China, Malaysia and Taiwan. Their chips although the same part number, would have different fonts and printout on the chips depending from which factories they were manufactured.
