Greetings, the BIOS flasher w/ Test clip to flash BIOS and EEPROM chips is an interesting resolve I being clueless such a fix existed. Considering I've been spending endless hours attempting to normalize my corrupt BIOS that invaded my gravity standing sideways. I have a dysfunctional Lenovo YOGA 730-15IKB Laptop, question; Are the flasher Test clip Devices universal for all computers or device specific for specific model computers? Hello! I’m sorry I wasn’t able to respond earlier. Since the model you stated still utilizes a SATA port for its SSD, and since it still the same manufacturer and the same laptop division, it should work perfectly fine. Great question, though, and thanks for watching!

Excellent Video ! I have 2 problems with my Yoga 710. my battery swelled and Im not buying a new one, my question is, do you think I can get it out in order not to damage other parts of the computer, can I uset just without the battery ? directly to power? Also the right hinge that allows to open and close the screen seems to be detached inside and made leattle damege on the screen, can I open the screen and try to fix or glue it back? thanks !

Hello! That is an excellent question! Actually, there is a way to unplug the battery and disconnect it, and there’s also an iFixit guide on how to do it. I think what you have to do is unscrew the main screws, and then disconnect the smaller plug. And yes, you will probably be able to use it without the battery, directly to power, as that worked with my very old Sony laptop. However, I wouldn’t exactly recommend it, as there are many replacement batteries online, but it is entirely your choice. As for the hinge, I’m not entirely sure, but there should be some guides online on how to fix the hinge of a Lenovo 2 in 1 (most of their hinges are similar). Thanks for watching, and good luck!

About the second problem it is very difficult because I have to remove the screen, and thats not easy. Hi! Well actually, it depends on how many ram slots the laptop has for expandable memory, but I think it should be possible because mine came with 16 GB ram. I would recommend checking first though, I don’t have much experience with ram. But theoretically, yes it should be possible. EDIT: I just checked and if you remove the ram cover, you should be able to remove the ram module and replace it. You do want to make sure that it is compatible ram, though. And also, that same article says that it is very easy to remove the battery and that it is actually recommended to do so. Hello! I am sorry to say that, unfortunately, the PcIe SSD will not be recognized in the SATA slot, as this laptop is not built for it and it’s BIOS, in turn, will not recognize it. Only M.2 SATA drives will work with this laptop, but in my experience, those work very well with the rest of the system’s hardware and I would highly recommend Crucial’s SSDs if you are still considering it.
