This is the best 13-in 2-in-1 for 2017. It checks all the boxes with very few weaknesses. Stellar battery life, great design, sharp display and powerful speakers make this a win. Let me know what you think.

Great review. I ordered the 920 vibes 1TB SSD version last week, with delivery sometime near January 8. Talking with a few friends and discussing my needs, this one seem to best fit my budget. Online discount regular price 2771, web discount 432 bringing it to 2339 canadian or 1850 USD. Considering the cost difference to a surface pro 16GB ram 1 TB SSD at 3449 CAD, 2700 USD this and stunning reviews on the screen. There will be haters in every crowd but i think in the long run this one will be a winner for me. Previous laptops MSI dragon series GT70, Dell XPS 2010, and a IBM 486Dx, yes i am that old that I used one of those in the late 80's from 1990 -2005ish i used mostly home built stand alone PC's so i will have a lot to compare to when it arrives.

I currently have the Yoga 2 Pro and am considering upgrading to either the Surface or Yoga 920. One of the perks with the Surface, I would assume, is the reduced amount of bloatware compared to the Yoga 920. Is that a safe assumption? My Yoga 2 Pro came pre-loaded with a bunch of apps and software that I never use which I'm sure are still taking up a decent amount of hard disk space. Your video shows that you had about 180-190 GB after opening the device which means about 25% of advertised disk space was unavailable right off the bat (assuming it's a 256 SSD). How does that compare to a similar Microsoft device (i.e. Surface or Surface Pro)? If I were to purchase this from a Microsoft store or the Microsoft site, would they rid the device of all the unnecessary software/apps that Lenovo might otherwise have included? And great job on the review!

Thinking about getting this for school and art use. How does it compare to other laptops now in 2019? Are there better and cheaper convertibles? If you need about minimal requirements my school needs, I need a laptop with at least i5 processors, 4GB, DDR4 for memory, 14" monitor, 1TB hard drive and integrated graphics 2GB. Would've gone with the surface pro if it wasn't for the minimal 14" screen requirement.

Nice job. Having spent a considerable amount of time looking to replace my now older business machine of 11 years I learned that Lenovo has a business line that has a "twin" to this consumer model. The business model comes with more ports as well as an SSD slot. Not sure how the speakers compare and as I do use my current machine for entertainment also, that is important, as well as the storage. The business model is one that can be taken apart by the consumer to repair as Lenovo provides a manual for that which can save money through the years as well as time. I have heard the business model will be going to the 8th gen but not sure when, although would love to find out. Do you know? The bussiness model apparently also has an OLED screen and wonder if there is anything to the chatter regarding "burn in"? Thank you.

Alaa Essam I was on the same boat. Ended up going with the yoga for the screen, battery life, its quieter and runs cooler. Don't be fooled by the numbers. This is a quad-core cpu as opposed to a dual core (from last year's model), and it is 40% more processing power. Pretty significant increase. So to answer your question, nothing to be worried about, in fact, you will get a big boost in performance over 7th Gen processor.

Quietest fans? Now THAT is a lie! The Yoga 920 heats up and the fan kicks in very loudly when throttling at 16% CPU usage. Check the Lenovo Support forums and you will see that this is a very common issue with all units.

@frederickmiller54926 жыл бұрын
I've been using mine now for a few days (I have the i7 model - with 4k screen). There are two things I've found. First, the fans kick up more the first few days - I think Windows 10 is busy downloading lots of upgrades. Secondly, the fans seem to run more when you are charging the laptop AND doing work, simultaneously. Last night, I was charging AND watching Netflix/checking email/FB - the fans never once turned on. The machine is almost dead silent now. Also - there is a quiet mode: just hit Fn + Q. Hope this helps.
@AMGF8156 жыл бұрын
Bitcoin Artist I’ve noticed that you’ve posted the same thing up and down this video. If you hate the Yoga and love the x360, then why are you even on this video?!?! I’ve tried almost EVERY full spec version of the x360 13 and 15 since 2015. I have not yet tried the newest models but I don’t plan to because all of the other models, always got too hot around the left palm rest. HP has always had issues with heat management. I write a lot and my left hand gets too hot on every X360 that I’ve bought from Best Buy and then returned. You mentioned build quality. Yes, the Yoga 900 that I bought a few years ago, had lint underneath the painted lid and the display housing, didn’t align properly with the bottom half of the unit. It was also no made out of metal which gave it a really cheap feel. But Lenovo wised up and started using metal and now the build quality is much better as of the 910 and 920. HP also had quality control issues. I kept getting scratched units. I went through 8 units that were scratched in various places and one unit had dead pixels. I’m using a Dell XPS 15 9560 after trying the new MBP 15 and returning it months ago. I want something thin, light, powerful, beautiful and with a screen at least 14 inches if not 15. If I were to go and give HP other try with the new x360 15, I would have a machine that’s a bit thicker and heavier than the XPS but not as powerful. Soon the next XPS 15 (non-2-in-1) will be released and I have no doubt that it will once again be a more powerful machine than the x360 15, while being just as thin if not thinner and lighter. If I’m going to lug around a heavy beast, it better perform like the most powerful beast of its size. So that brings me to the Yoga 920 with regards to wanting at least a 14 inch screen. I figure I’ll try the Yoga 920 full spec, this week because 13 inches is just a little too small for my liking. If the Yoga doesn’t live up to my wants, then I’ll wait for the next XPS 15.
@frederickmiller54926 жыл бұрын
The Yoga 920 has two fans - they can push a lot of air. I actually feel like I hear more air movement than fans - there is zero whining or spinning sounds. I was reading up on the 4k version - if you run your 4k unit in 1080p mode - the fans don't kick in as much. I thought it was weird - but I tried it - and the fans NEVER come on. The more I use the device - I seem to only get a lot of fan/air noise when I'm installing software and plugged into the wall. I think the fans kick in to help reduce the heat from the charging battery. Overall, I still love this laptop.

I'm a jeweler - I love it. I will say it's not as obnoxious in the platinum model - all the parts of the hinge are the same color and there isn't a weird color difference between the various tubes and metal "camshaft" pieces. As for functionality - it can't be beat. The screen as ZERO wobble. All the other 2-in-1's I tested - had HORRIBLE screen wobble. I couldn't stand them, actually, and went with this one - I'm a happy camper.

Pretty good device with 2 dealbreakers for me, the screen aspect ratio should be 3:2 on any convertible, 16:9 in tablet mode is useless IMO, and the weight, if you can't detach the screen it should stay under 2.5 pounds or even 2 pounds... until technology hasn't produced such a device, I'll keep my samsung notebook 9 and a one of my large tablets (ipad pro, surface pro 3 and dynapad)
@frederickmiller54926 жыл бұрын
I find 16:9 perfect for the software I use. Blackboard, etc. As for drawing programs - put your palettes off to one side - you get your ratio back. I actually like having the large black bar at the bottom of the screen - makes it WAY easier to grab the device in tablet mode - and yes, I do use this device in tablet mode - works very well.
