@@navyasrip The speakers are not the loudest but they are more than adequate unless you are in a very noisy environment. They are well balanced. I did not find them to be tinny like the awful speakers on the Dell XPS 13 or Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge. They definitely do provide moderate amounts of bass which is fine for listening to music. Of course if you are expecting them to be like you are using a separate subwoofer, then you will be disappointed. But I don't think anyone should be expecting that kind of sound on such a thin and light laptop.

As a general purpose laptop, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x laptop is fine for what you need it to do at the end of the day. As I've noticed with all of these laptops in 2024, the Windows ARM technology is brand new so you will have some features that will be hit or miss until they iron out the kinks but overall, it has a gorgeous OLED vivid display, long battery life and a price of $1199.99 which will not break the bank. The fact that there are no USB A ports, no SD Card reader, No HDMI and no headphone jack doesn't really surprise me as many manufacturers are trying to get away from it but it may bother some potential buyers. Soldered RAM might be another negative for people, however, it is running the faster RAM which is always a good thing. Gorgeous 1080p webcam, clear internal mics and great quad speaker sound quality makes this a pretty good laptop in 2024. Overall, it is a stunning product from Lenovo that shouldn't be overlooked! Excellent very thorough review once again Andrew!! 👍😁

On of the undocumented issues with the current snapdragon socs is the flaky support for 4k120hz. I tried the surface laptop and officially Microsoft does state 4k120hz support but Qualcomm does not? I tried a direct USB-C to DP cable and my thunderbolt 4 hub but could only get 4k60hz. Some people seem to get 4k100hz and I'm not sure what the difference is in their setup? Returned the surface laptop and will wait for the next generation unfortunately.

It's cheaper to buy direct from Lenovo and then you get PayPal 0% for 4 months and more spec choices. Just curious what the importance of a haptic trackpad is? I have used trackpads for years and merely tap on them to register my input. I can't remember the last time I actually tried to click on one. The trackpad on the Lenovo, which I have, seems perfectly fine to me and I would never consider its not being haptic to be a deal breaker.
@prk34373 ай бұрын
@@larryb4392 The trackpad of Lenovo is perfectly fine, and I totally agree with that point. The problem is, once you use Haptic touchpad, you get used to it. In Haptic touchpad, you can click or tap anywhere on the touchpad, but on click ones like Lenovo has, only the bottom part can be used to click, the top part is essentially just tap or if Lenovo allows any gestures, use for that. It's like using 120 Hz screens on mobile and suddenly going back to 60 Hz. 60Hz is wonderful, but 120 is just more preferred.
@larryb43923 ай бұрын
@@prk3437 Your points are well taken and to each his own of course. I have tried haptic trackpads but I never found them to provide any advantages to me as far as tapping or gestures. My real issue is that I don't think newcomers to the different kinds of trackpads should be led to believe that one is better than the other necessarily. It is more, like you said, what you may get used to.
@prk34373 ай бұрын
@@larryb4392 That is true. I can skip not having a haptic touchpad because 90% of my work necessitates the need for an external mouse. If you have 1 port for charging and 1 USB-A for card readers and/or maybe audio, that may suffice ...
