Its a pico projector, its either a laser or LED based, both have MUCH longer lifespans than normal projector bulbs.

Hey folks just a heads up to those who like this tab but wish it had better hardware specs and perforned faster, that is now possible, lenovo has released a new yoga tab 3 pro with better cpu and wifi abgnac, twice the ram and memory. I live in EU and ordered it on Lenovo's webshop were it was added I think a week ago, the price is nearly the same, maybe 50$ more than their previous model, got it earlier today and performs very well. Seems like Lenovo listens to their customers afterall ;-)

Wow. Sounds great, might have to pick it up on this reccomendation :) It costs around £400 on the official Lenovo website, if that helps.... Do you think it'd be suitable for me doing some essay work on? & then when I get bored, switch it straight to cinema mode 😂

I have an older regular yoga tab and i absolutely love it. My primary device is my smartphone, but i travel frequently and this tablet is great for inflight content consumption. Kickstand is a major plus and so is the battery life. If Lenovo continues producing these devices, then i would certainly look forward to purchasing another one from the next generation.

Inside developer mode there is an option to turn off screen animations, or at least turn them down. I would check if that solved the ghosting.

Had the Yoga tab 2, lasted 3 weeks before the battery fell loose and I had to DOA it back. Now I'm thinking of this one, but only 2gb ram when it have a 1600p screen makes me wonder... Also the gpu inside is on par with Snapdragon 330, which is a last years model. And a SD 330 on a 1600p will suffer. So either this or I'll wait until Nvidia release their shield tablet with the X1 soc.

Check out 2015 projectors.. Some weight less than this tablet and is rechargeable. The tablet is different in design that is true, But better is a opinion not a fact. but how long would the projector light bulb last? you gonna need to change it. And the parts of wont be easy or cheap to find. thats additional $200 for hiring someone + buying bulb for the tablet. Unless the average consumer know how to open a tablet and find the hardware's for it. with 200$ I can buy another projector or tablet. So no its not better.

Cale Andersen Not everyone have extra money laying around. Have you thought about positioning tablet projector? The base isn't flat, when setting up the projector, your gonna always need a larger surface area, while a mini projector wouldn't. And the best part, mini projectors can be connected to your smart phone. Your opinion is noted but still not better. But hey not like its my money.

Solid review, and WOW that 10200 mAh battery! I'll take added weight over a shorter battery life any day! Same with the iphones / ipads that keep getting slimmer, I'd rather have a fatter one with larger battery life

Ive been eyeing at this tablet... And it seems nice, and i agree with the reviewer... I think this would fit my content consumption and reading needs as i really use tablets for that... Need the battery and storage expansion too... But worried about the software... But i havent seen any great tablets for this year except for this one... Kinda disapointed. I usually like most of the Lenovo stuff. The same trick won't sell twice and adding projecting and hole in backstand won't fix it. On top of that 2gb ram is really hands down.

you will only get virus when you try to download something from unknow website or you download from you computer and put it directly into your phone, normal use probably will not get you virus. There's no such system that don't get any virus at all.

Conor Condon I have a tab 3 and the major difference is the price tag which relies on the integrated projector which is only featured on the pro. Overall the tab 3 is a pretty good tablet but I do not know about the tab 3 pro

Conor Condon there is another r thing that's including which is the multi window which allows you to to open one or more windows at a time in a the shape of a phone. This is quite useful and also the anyone technology can be turned on and off in the settings.

Loved it until they mentioned the processor and RAM. I've used the Atom and it's horrid, I'd rather a snapdragon on the 400 series (that's saying something). There should be no modern high end tablet with less than 3GB of RAM, especially with that screen resolution.

Foxtrot November YES, the HTC One X is still great on gaming and apps because of the Tegra 3 and that game out in 2012. Shame Nvidia's processors never caught on like Qualcomm's did.

What a real shame. I absolutely love the design of this tablet. I have the last version and I prefer it to any other tablet and I own a whole bunch of them. I just love propping it down anywhere to watch Netflix, KZbin and so on and so on. BUT its not the fastest and android itself is still really suffering from not being allowed to use SD as normal storage. Some apps and games will move to SD card, some will not, a LOT will not and every now and then the damn tablet just ejects the card and all your shortcuts disappear. Very annoying. For me what would have made this new version perfect would be to keep everything the same, give it a faster processor, better GPU, forget the cameras and projecters. Maybe just have a a little camera for skyping but save all that money that goes into these things and put it into speed. This with the fastest processor and GPU would be my top pick. Oh and fix the bugs! Right now I'm just not sure this is much of an upgrade at all

Lenovo Yogas have a big history with ghosting effects. My Thinkpad Yoga S1 has one of the worst displays ever made with ghost effects all over the place. Can't believe they still order this displays.

I Fricken hate this tablet!! Its so expensive and its not optimized at all...my screen keeps flickering the os is soooo slow...not what i paid for.. I wouldn't recommend it. It started out pretty nice but after a while..it starts to get slow.....mine isn't even a year old.

They always send working units for review, but they sell shit units to us. My 2nd gen had a screen that kept becoming unresponsive, I returned it, now I have this one but it will not charge more than 40% with the supplied charger and cable. Thousands of people are having battery problems, Lenovo needs to stop selling shit that deosn't work
