Very nice lens. I am using it on a TV-series right now paried with the 30-90mm version and it is a great workhorse for fast shooting sets. So far i am very pleased with it.

Many people talk about these advantages of cine lenses. And explain that's why they are so expensive. All arguments make a lot of sense. And don't make me interested in trying out one. You run smoothly through the whole list. Making all spects totally clear. Far better than a million words! Amazing again - your content & style! Hoping for more awesome content on your channel in the 2020ies!

I have this lens to use on my RED ONES, my EPIC-MX, and my Leica SL. I have 3 Leica Summicron-C Cine Primes and they’re phenomenal, but the Angenieux has a personality all it’s own. I shoot with several Angenieux Lenses on my Leica M cameras and I love them.

Great video! May I ask on what cemara you tested this lens? FF or S35? =)

The flares are surprisingly good for a zoom lens. My favorite is to pair with HBM filters. Really brings these lenses to life. I'm going to get the new Cooke Varotal zooms next. I'm sure that will be a whole new level of zoom lens quality that the world has yet to see!

great review! how smooth is the zoom ring? you think a nucleus nano motor can handle it with a mattebox on?
@brandonpeterson402 жыл бұрын
Yes it can. It's not the smoothest zoom but that Nucleus can handle it still

Very detailed information in this video! I got a question, since Angenieux phased out the ez2 s35 version, and only sell ff vista version. I'm wondering if I purchased the vista lens, can I just change back element from ff to s35 by just simply remove the ff back element? Because I want use it on s35 camera, and since Angenieux only selling ff ez2 now, I have to pay 3000 more usd for the ff version. And I dont want to pay more if change from ff to s35 neex me to buy more parts or send lens to store to modify.

What was the test shot on? Also, what resolution, WB, and ISO?
@richarddelloyd33874 жыл бұрын
Great effort and much appreciated, but if you're gonna stop down, then at least compensate with ISO/shutter speed/angle so we can see the depth of field with equivalent light. Seeing the effect of reduced aperture/light is no help. Thank you and cheers. Rx

Are the bokeh balls really that onion-y? That's brutally distracting.

What is the image circle coverage? Does it cover up to FF?

You can buy an extra adapter for the EZ1 and EZ2 to cover FF. But you loose stops and it becomes a 22-60mm (ez2) and 45-135mm (ez1) lens.
