I love that Phoebe knows but she can't admit it. Shows a true conflict for her character, one she's never had on the show at this level. She knows how she feels but she also can sense and feel how Cole feels about her and that he'd never hurt her, which for awhile he didn't. HIS exit from the show could've definitely been written better imo.

I didn't know back then but I always found it very strange that Phoebe had so many scenes with Leo alone, compared to Prue, for instance. Same could be said when Shannen directed that Western episode and had many scenes with Julian (Cole). I also remember that she once winked at Cole in a specific episode when she saved him from two demons in a crypt :p... Outside of that, Shannen really nailed her acting when it came to showing aversion for Cole.

The Cole and Phoebe thing was honestly her most interesting relationship. That cupid dude was boring as hell and I didn't like him. When they was under a spell he went along with it. Instead of doing the right thing

No, it's because Cole was half human and half demon. So Leo was able to heal the human part, but not the demon part.
