i mean... he IS and was not wrong in the slightest. Was he blunt? Absolutely- but I for one appreciated how he didn't beat around the bush OUTSIDE LOOKING IN I'm sure it looks insensitive but he's activley conveying and warning THE PEOPLE THAT IT APPLIES TO of a harsh reality that we have to face this isn't just about the fires his response applies to ANY disaster scenario. hard disagree bc 1. Leo isnt in CA anymore, he's in Texas. What he might be seeing is just what we all see on the news & tiktok and isnt talking about the broader experience. It just causes fear bc what Leo's talking about isnt happening at a mass level. People's paranoia is justified but its not happening to the extent Leo is making it out to be. 2. Leo has a history of wanting to INCITE VIOLENCE 😭 he talked about a detailed plan wanting to kill his ex & killing other people who've "wronged" him. He, I believe, is just a negative individual who sees the worst in ppl so of course his message doesnt land well. 3. His message might have the opposite effect where ppl will incite violence on homeless ppl. Maybe right message but wrong messenger? I dont mind Leo's "tough love" approach but with his history of wanting to kill ppl....Imma be dismissive of whatever delusional, paranoid takes he has tbh 🥸

@ hey there last year a video of Leo talking about (in explicit detail) literally torturing and m*rdering an ex who was HIV+ but didn’t disclose it went a little viral because a podcast reacted to it. A lot of his fans justified it by chalking it up to “intrusive thoughts” but having a well thought out plan where you’re listing out the violence you are going to enact against someone, their dog and whom else is going to help you get away with it, it’s no longer an intrusive thought.

I do not think creating more panic was okay. Leo has a huge platform and to paint a blanket statement over the homeless in the way he did was just gross. I used to appreciate Leo's bluntness but how you say something can have bigger impacts than what you say. A lot of people don't understand that especially when it comes from a "unapologetic" mindset. I lost a lot of people in my life because I said something harsh with the right intentions and looking back I do have to take responsibility of my impact even if I still agree with what was said. He can have the intensity without the theatrics when speaking on devastation.
