Its been a while since I talked about a equipment that I started to regularly use and this time around after couple of trips I wanted to make a video on this travel tripod that I picked up the Leofoto MT-03...
and for alot of ppl since my channel is not monetized at all ( I have no sponsor atm) everything I purchase make a video on is paid from my burnt wallet and if there are things that are worth mentioning it will be made if not beneficial for my viewer ( I will never make it) keeping that motto to gain my trust
fortunatly enough I actually was able to snag this from a Craiglist type of site (Mercari) for less than half the retail cost OH YES....
and thought it would be helpful for some people if they are looking for a portable travel friendly tripod....
honesty in the past I have used the Manfrotto Pixi series (100% plastic)
and I only use it for my mic stand.. Leofotos LS 223C is 100% sitting on my desk not moving anywhere and its forever stuck on my desk but I wanted something to carry around while on trips so I can hold my camera to film what I am doing and this became my solution for that problem can hold my GW690 III and also my XT5 with 16-80mm without any problems
although for some people it is expensive it is fully metal (anodized alluminum) built like a tank unlike the Manfroto Pixi series where the plastic could break from extended use.

I just received the MT-03+MBC-18 combo (same Fuji version), and before ordering I was skeptical about the concept of this tripod. On the pictures it looked like a wobbly garbage I wouldn't trust, but in reality it is unreal how stable it is in every configuration while it weighs nothing. Also, I like the style of your review, it is very basic - in a good way. I am so tired of the overenthusiastic youtubers whose sole purpose is to get a few buck after your purchase.

If you compare it with how should I say not Roasting Manfrotto but Burning them :) Compared to that plastic Pixie and this cost 2-3times more I was in the same boat however I used it in the video like the GW690 Medium Format and my XT5/XT4 when I'm recording video outside...I can't recommend anything other than this in terms of size, durability and how stable it is....I rmb long ago Gitzo releasing a Pipsqueaks tripod that was Ripoff....200-300$?usd and I thought No WAY in Life.... but this is not too expensive bit not too cheap adequate? Is that the word Thanks for commenting I only mention equipments that are beneficial for my viewers heck who would want to try/ buy something that they really don't use in real life...that really depresses me so if it works if I love I will mention it on my channel...if I hate it I'm not gonna let it step afoot in my Room/Channel :)

MT-01, 02, 03, 04 is how big they are. The 04 has 3 fold out sections, the 03 has two, etc.

I would probably never get the 4 since it's just damn too huge and a table tripod from leofoto has more stability size wise the 02/03 is the best bet

@@RM.TokyoPhotographerHi. I recently bought the MT-03+MB20 option. Thanks to your video. Just one question--what's the size of the allen screws used on the MT-03 so that I'll know what allen screwdriver size I need to buy to tighten its screws should it loosens over time. Thank you.

Hello! Great video. Loved all the details. I was wondering if we could use this tripod as feet for monopod.
@RM.TokyoPhotographer
@RM.TokyoPhotographer Ай бұрын
oh yeah I completely forgot that there are alot of people who comment using as a feet and unfortuantly I have to admit this is not for monopod feet since it doesnt have the stability its like 100% more like for table tripod... if I was going to use as a feet for monopod. I would highly suggest the Leofoto VD03 series which are more stable and I recently tested within store the most stability wise (it can stand stable without touching) is the Libec TH-M series unfortunatly an all in one solution where the feets attached to the monopod. but a little bit bulkier. so hopefully i made some contribution/help

Hi Ryo-san, I thought you might be interested to know that, following your KZbin video on the Leophoto MT-03 with MBC-18 head. Rather than buying the more expensive MBC-20 head, I bought the cheaper option of a “Joby Vertical L Bracket with Cold Shoe” (A$25 / ¥2,200). 73, Ian

This tripod is advertised as 'Table Tripod' or 'small tripod', but I wonder if this can be used as 'Tripod base for monopod' as well. Has been thinking this for quite a while and plan to use it in my gimbal tripod, where I can also mount the accessories in those 1/4" holes (like video wireless transmitter) and also tripod base for monopod.

Thanks for asking love to answer:) this is my biased opinion since not being sponsored by Leofoto or anyone I Believe for gimbal usage this Table tripod won't be enough to sustain a gimble weight with camera I have used a gimbal before and what's really important is rather the thickness of the each leg as in width sideways... This table tripod may sustain heavy setups but gimbals since kinda suspended 20-40cm off ground this would make the setup really unstable since the legs itself is rather very thin. But...I would maybe would suggest the MT-04 over the MT03 for that purpose

This is a little off topic from the subject of the video, but what exactly are those two round clips on the side of the camera? I feel like I should know this already and I apologize again for asking an off topic question.

Nah it's okay I actually get asked soo much at my workplace from ppl who work outside... There was a person who said wth is that Ladybug 🤣🐞... It's for attaching my Slide Light Peak Design strap and I have an anchor for each camera Medium Format Camera, Nikon F3, and Konica C35 along with my Digital camera so instead of owning 5 straps I can get away with 1-2 :)

The GW 690 I have no trouble in terms of holding it up to the extreme it could probably hold Sony A74/Fuji XT4/5 with moderate size lenses. And typically film camera unless the Pentax 6x7 would be overkill but it will hold modest systems.
