I was brought up on a serious diet of these TV shows. Thunderbird's, Space1999, UFO. These shows had a huge impact on my life. As a kid I never tired of watching a Thunderbird's episode, in my mind it was the perfect show.

CGI can have some soul if it's done right. I have always liked the pod racers segment from Star Wars episode 1, that was jaw dropping. When I saw the crashes of the pod racers I felt it was a turning point for great CGI destruction scenes...something CGI has struggled with for years

When I last looked at one of the channels playing death threat games I noticed they were gamers...sadly why was I not surprised and I dare say this style of person is fairly removed from reality...I was in their eyes just part of another game...take aim and shoot. Steve I loved that last man's cave of guitars you did, I did not expect to see so many come out of the woodwork.

I feel one event which forced this info to the no go area was 9/11. Here is Oz every one with a pyro licence had to start from scratch to get their licence back. I could show you how a simple party popper can be used to initiate high explosives, but imagine the outrage..and then the party poppers will be banned.

It seems finally youtube has put some controls and filters onto the comments area...it was needed. Sadly because of the hate trolls I know a few people who walked form this site. It's weird how these sorts of trolls go out of control online. I wonder what sort of people they are in real life.

The only good thing which has happened for a while now is Lego has stopped DMCA ing my videos. That company is weird to say the least. Here I am trying to make their toys look good and I'm treated like I have stolen some of their precious video productions...no one even checked to see what the content ID system picked up before slapping me with DMCA crap.

I looked at the Terms Of Service here and sure making death threats is not on....yet reporting these rogue trolls does nothing to their accounts. Seeing that tells me this site really needs to be formatted. I feel some of the new generation of users here think they can do anything they want, steal videos, make death threats to you or other users. Maybe all this is how these people get their highs. As it stands I can only see they are supported to keep doing what they do.

I agree with you on the community changing. I remember KZbin back in 2007 while I didn't have an account back then, I remembered all of it. The UI back then was when KZbin was great.

KZbin used to be an excellent site, and I'm thinking back to the time before the partner program and greed ripped this place apart. Sadly much of what goes on now is trolls or spam, or a combination of both. In a weird way the trolls made this place theirs, I see youtube are finally taking measures to control and filter comments here to stop trolls doing their nasty work. But if you don't feed the trolls it may backfire as they go somewhere else to play.

Todays youtube is so different to those early years, I really miss how amazing the site used to be before the wrecking ball with a naked girl came through and sent everyone to the top tier channels. If I put up a video of a naked girl swinging from a wrecking ball It would be flagged in an instant...yet others can get away with murder here..I just don't understand the double standards here anymore Dare say money talks!

Hey Leo, your daughter is beautiful. I am one of the ones who would absolutely love to see more films from you. It's a shame with what some of these people have really become. I would love one day though if I got to learn some of your technics to possibly inspire my own model filming. KZbin for some is amazing. Those (usually 1million plus) with lots of subs get all the benefits that KZbin can offer, any of those beneath get treated like scum. The user community is now terrible too. What happened? No-one knows. But I think it's time that everyone who actually knows what youtube WAS needs to find somewhere where we can share videos and not get given death threats or treated badly by the website publishers offering help.

DeviantArt has a better block and reporting system then KZbin. When you block the user on DA, they don't respond to you on your art or on other people's art and if you report disgraceful behaviour such as death threats, they ban them immediately.

i use my iphone camera when filming my trains or those hotwheels cars, the camera is small enough as it is and anything i put in front of it looks big. Not only that, i almost always invert the camera, and if i want to make a picture look upside down, i have to edit it to do so

Wow, Leo, that's shocking that YT hasn't done anything to those abusive members. Death threats are NOT free speech. Even here in the US where freedom of speech is so coveted, there are many exceptions, including death threats, libel, slander, inciting a riot, disturbing the peace and so-called "dangerous" speech, such as shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater. Death threats aren't just a violation of service terms, they're illegal. I would report this immediately to the police.
