►Poseidon - Part 2 (Cinematic Animation) 2024

There are 2 important things that are happening today. First, it's my birthday😅 and second, the long-awaited animation IS HERE! - Poseidon Part 2 -
The video includes the most significant scenes from the movie (such as the capsizing scene and the sinking) recreated from scratch to offer you the same feeling as watching the original.
I've been working on this for the last ~4 months so your opinion matters to me. Please don't hesitate and tell me your thoughts on this down below

Can we all agree that the way the ship sinks in this movie, defies all known laws of physics?

@@busybrainanimations4175 The scenes shown don't necessarily illustrate every exact detail of the original movie plot, but rather some of the most remarkable moments. I have tried my best to unify and compress the clips into a continuous sequence, creating the illusion of an entire movie so that the shots flow logically from one to the next. While in the original movie, the ship’s sinking seemed somewhat illogical, the producers included shots of ballast tanks flooding, which affected the ship's overall balance. I couldn't add these shots, as they would have disrupted the "homogeneity" or consistency of the rest of the footage. As a result, in some cases, my animation may lack consistency. However, the main goal was to replicate the key events of the movie.

@ in all honesty, I have not seen the movie myself, just some scenes I did not know there was a scene in the movie that showed ballast tanks flooding, but even then, I doubt that would be enough to actually upright a ship moments before sinking. You did an amazing job of animating the movie.

dude! I've always had the same idea! But I doubt it. It wasn't that famous compared to the Titanic, and I think it was a ficticious ship, wasn't it? Not even the original one (From the original movie, the one that looked similar to the Titanic)

If people love the 2005 remake, I sincerely hope they check out the 1972 original. The Poseidon Adventure is arguably the best of all the 1970s disaster movies. Airport, Earthquake, and The Towering Inferno are all fun enough and also have all-star casts, but The Poseidon Adventure is the one that really nails it in my opinion. Plus, you've got the Queen Mary as the S.S. Poseidon, and Mermaid Man himself as hard-boiled NY detective with his hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold ex-prostitute wife! And Shelley Winters! Please, everyone, give it a shot! Older movies can still be incredible!
