@@HateTheIRS Do you like paved roads, working sewer and water systems and snow cleared from the roads? Do you like stable electric supplies, a National Defense to keep the country safe and some of the cheapest food prices in the world? That's taxes at work.

@@id10t98 income tax is theft. We need some taxes but government goes too far with excessive taxation. That’s a frivolous argument “muh roads” We had roads and everything you mentioned, before we had an income tax, before 1913. We had a functioning society. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3y1ppufgqmCoNE This video, is also your taxes at work. Building 2 million dollar public bathrooms. That’s an exemplification of how government spends your tax dollars. Most of it gets wasted. Like I said, we need some taxes, but income tax is theft. Property tax is also theft. Death tax is also theft. You think that government doesn’t waste most of your tax dollars? Government spends other peoples money, so it’s inherently inefficient. Imagine if you could spend someone else’s money, would you spend that money wisely? I doubt it. Government does provide basic services, but it wastes a lot of money in the process. And like I said, we had roads etc, before we had an income tax. You realize there are like 14 states with Zero STATE income tax and those states are doing just fine.

That interview with Metamucil Cooperman was insufferable. Nothing but a bloviating, whiny, scatterbrained billionaire vomiting billionaire talking points, as only a 187 year old can. The big Metamucil on his desk for the interview says it all. SMH. Remember...every time a billionaire cries, an angel gets their wings!

What's interesting is boom/bust cycles, on average, are 63 months (5.25 yrs) dating back to WWII, with obvious outliers. As of Today, since the bottom of the market on March 23, 2020 we have just crossed 24 months. A looming recession happening within that a time frame has not occured in modern history, even despite the record fiscal stimulus inflating asset prices. The next recession won't be nearly as deep as the prior, and if anything it will be more headline recession than 15% unemployment. I like Leon, but his net exposure doesn't posture a bearish investor; cautious maybe. Neither does any other hedge fund on the street based on their 13Fs. If everyone was so bearish on the economy, you'd see exposures go net short. Remember, these guests talk their books all day long.
