I adored this film so much that i’m left feeling somewhat empty when it finished, I want the film to keep going. I can relate to somewhat of the “Post movie depression” theory. The sound tracks gives a rising feeling in my chest, i kind of want to cry, it’s moving. That’s when you know it’s a good film

Agreed. There should have been a sequel when Natalie got older. But, typical movie company drama put an end to that. One can only speculate how Mathilda developed as an adult. I don't count Columbiana as a real sequel.

Soundtrack is a huge part. It's brilliant. Subtle but hits the right spots. Also very original and has a very unique sound. Eric Serra was a master of that (5th Element). Very very different from today's concept of soundtrack composing and overall handling of a soundtrack. In the 90s it feels like they treated a movie and its music as one entity. Not a movie first and then a soundtrack on top of it that fits. Zimmer somewhat destroyed this way of composing by taking over the market with his mass produced factory-like "hit-soundtracks" that just follow a scheme of fulfilling the viewers expectations of how the music should be. Leaving very little space for new innovative composers to emerge, and experienced composers to dare trying something different and following their intuition.

The only downside of watching this movie in English is that Jean Reno (great actor, I love him) doesn't sound like an Italian at all. He 100% sounds like a Frenchman.
