Ay; Mine are also both gone and I do so miss them,. But at least we will reunite with them one great day. Myself I was with my precious wife 37 years then she decided it was better for her to go on alone without me, now I believe she regrets it as she is still alone going on 5 years. I found a girlfriend and have tried to love like that again but my heart still hurts for that precious love an eternal love for my future that was gonna be hers,. It's just not the same. In 1972 someone special in my life at the time introduced me to the songs of Leonard Cohen and although that person and I parted soon afterwards this was the beginning of 50 years of listening to this wonderful singer song writer.My music tastes are very varied but this man has had a very special place in my heart and in my life with his unique songs which will live on for many years to come.I continue to enjoy and appreciate the songs and music of this genuinely great artist.

I was introduced to Leonard Cohen in 1967 by Leonard's cousin. We were classmates/buddies in Grade 6 at an elementary school in Westmount (Montreal) the neighbourhood of Leonard's childhood home. At his house one day my buddy pulled out Leonard's first album, saying gleefully "This is my cousin!" I was clueless of course, but intrigued. Even at that tender age of 12 something moved in me upon that first listening. Since that introduction Leonard's music has been with me, in my heart and soul as I have traversed this earth these many years. Leonard, your music will be cherished, discovered and re-discovered "to the end of time". Rest well, dear man, your earthly work is done. But you live on through your artistry.
