I love Tanita's alto voice, a very rare and unique tone. Also love her poetic lyrics & songwriting. When I was in Paris in early '89, her album Ancient Heart was on the Top 3, and this song was played over and over in heavy rotation. It shows that the French and fellow Europeans know how to appreciate unique talent. Such wonderful memory

Well spoken. You know why the 70's 80's and 90's are timeless? I have lots of other examples: Red Hot Chilli Peppers with Under the Bridge, Sting Englishman in New York, Elton John Nikita and many other gems. Why? Because that was the pre computer era.
