He truly encapsulated a person with challenges. He took time to hang out with young adults with challenges. I took him to be autistic in this role. I cried at how real he was. It is a difficult film to watch but it also has the whole family involved in his care. Gilbert took care of them all. All of them were astonishing.

He should have won the Oscar that year. Martin Landaugh was great, but Leonardo Dicaprio in that role was one of the best performances EVER!
