I didn’t realize Komuro was so small, but he is an awesome Judoka. At 3:42, Komuro threw Vieira like a rag doll.
@MeroGrumble3 жыл бұрын
Komuro's signature move is sode guruma jime ("Ezekiel choke") and if I remember correctly he used the technique to win the previous match. So, in my opinion it looks more like he picked an inadequate game plan in a point contest than stalling purposely: Komuro is trying to put weight forward while protecting his own neck to shut Vieira's hip mobility and reach his head to choke him inside his guard ( see 4:08 & rushed attempt at 7:42 ). That is also probably why Vieira's tries so hard to push Komuro's face back ( 1:15 & 5:30 ).

With IBJJF rules Komuro Koji wins with a takedown and sweep

Incorrect - after 3 stalling calls Veira would of had 2 points and 1 advantage to Koj’s 2 points 1 advantage and 3 penalties.

Brazilian never got stalling points against him. Hate the point system in this tournament.

Where did Leo Viera stalled? Komuro was the one who was laying and praying for most of the match. The point system discourages guard pulling and passiveness which Komuro spent mostly not trying to pass the guard and Viera lost points for pulling guard.

The point scoring is horrid. If you stick an ona plata on and your opponent taps then you should get a point. When they roll out like there was nothing on, you shouldn’t get a point. All too flash Harry for my

Judo MDZ Komuro wasn’t even trying to pass. He didn’t want to deal with that open guard. He just fought to keep himself in full guard

@@graciederangementsyndrome3669 , those Judo fanboys are always complaning. They made a new scoring system specially against guard pulling and stalling, they divided the fights in rounds to give a better chance to Judokas to score points, yet they still complain.

Personally I thought Koji was the better grappler in this match. BJJ rules I would assume, favored the BJJ player. Koji has him stuck in the guard position which took points away from Koji for stalling but I see that aa a plus because if u can keep someone stuck in the guard, you from mount are in a better position for striking. So, the rule set is backwards in my opinion. Find urself stuck guard you should have to escape.

Very weird way to win points in BJJ +
@graciederangementsyndrome3669 Жыл бұрын
Excuses! Leo got penalized for pulling guard which isn't a typical BJJ rule. The ruleset incentivizes takedowns which gives wrestlers/judokas some favor so it wasn't entirely biased for BJJ. Untrained antiBJJ tards like you shouldnt be qualified to explain the best way to grapple
