NEVER let them search anything w/o a warrant. Their minds are pretty much made up. They can easily make you look guilty. Don't expect phone & body cams to help you. Cops have immunity. You don't.

The idea is to try to salvage any possible chance of oxygenating the heart, lung and brain despite the continued blood loss. If you can keep the heart pumping and get the patient to Trauma Room, rapid infusion of blood and expanders can keep the patient alive to get to the OR to address the GSWs.

Even if you did nothing wrong, anything you say CAN and WILL be utilized as evidence and the cops WILL arrest you just so they can resolve the case as fast as possible. Also even if she didn't notice it when she first walked in, if she noticed it at any point between when she called 911 to when she told it to police I think it's kind of irrelevant - even though it ended up being irrelevant to the case in this instance, if your friend was just murdered and you notice a detail like that I think it's pretty obvious you would want to mention something like that to police because $14K bikes are pretty badass but I don't think they've gotten to the point that they ride themselves away from crime scenes yet.
@LayerZeroDesignАй бұрын
@@minivan680 idk maybe you're just not very observant. Can't speak for everyone but as someone who is aware and good at picking up on small changes in my surroundings the bike not being there would be something I would likely notice right away. Your friend just came to stay for a bike race, she's been keeping the bike right inside the door and every time you've walked in or out of your house for the past couple days the bike has been there and now it's not. Obviously nobody is going to jump to the conclusion that their friend is lying dead 20 feet away in the hallway but my first thoughts would be they're out riding or at worst it was stolen. After finding the body that is absolutely something I would consider valuable information to pass on to police (even if in this specific instance it wasn't relevant to the case). Either way we know the friend had nothing to do with it, and she clearly DID notice it at some point since she mentioned it to the police.

He had been asked by his sister (my great aunt, I guess....I'm not good with these family things) to ask his own nephew to return the money he had borrowed from his mom. My grandpa went to the house to talk to him. As he and my grandma left, the nephew unknowingly grabbed a gun and slipped out the back door. He then shot my grandpa in the back. He turned the gun on my grandma but it jammed. He was tackled before he killed her. Killing someone for that amount of money is insane. He got a great deal from the state. Yes, your grandparent's sibling is your great aunt/uncle (aunt in this case). This isn't really pertinent to 99.98% of your comment, but be glad you're not Irish; we do things a bit differently. For instance, any male in your family that's younger than you and not direct (like a brother) is a "nia", or a nephew. Same goes for any woman in your family that is not of direct relation and within 20-40 years of age from you is considered your "aintin" -- even your parent's cousin. You have no idea how confusing it was to transition from being raised by Irish kinship until you're a teenager to American culture and trying to understand what the hell a third cousin is.

So if someone isn't breathing and their heart isn't beating, the right thing to do is CPR. You are effectively breathing for them and pumping their heart when you do CPR. However, in the event of a traumatic injury, the first priority is to control major bleeding because pumping their blood doesn't do anything if it's all gone. Had she tried to control the bleeding when she found her, she would have discovered that the blood was from a fatal gunshot wound, and would not have needed to perform CPR. Obviously that situation is extremely stressful, and I commend her for having the courage and collectiveness to perform CPR, even if it was not useful to the victim. You don't know how you'll react in that kind of situation until you are in it, and even if you know what to do normally, you could forget it all when you need it.

Not true I watched a lawyer go over the interrogation and he said she never ask for a lawyer. She suggested she might need one but never came right out and asked for one. You must DEMAND a lawyer. She said I should get a lawyer. He said she should’ve said I WANT a lawyer. Since she did say I want one they could continue to ask her questions. The lawyer said you demand a lawyer then stop talking after the demand. He also said if the cops say you’re free to leave when ever you want. You get up and walk out without speaking to them. Then call a lawyer because they will come back and interview or interrogate again.

When u walk in and find your friend bleeding and unconscious, usually u aren't going to know exactly what happened, whether they were shot, stabbed, or beaten. But u should first call 911 as u check for pulse and then try to compress the wounds and then start cpr anyways because theres a chance that they went into shock or had a heart attack after being attacked.

@@mo608 he wasn't making fun of anything 😂 It wasn't even his question for 1, it was a comment he read, and for 2, it was a serious question And I had the exact same question, so I paused the video to search and see what the consensus was, and most paramedics said - "Yes, doing CPR on a person with a chest wound WILL pump blood to the wound and cause them to bleed out faster, BUT bleeding out faster with a beating heart is better than having no blood circulation with a stopped heart" So not only was it not a joke, IT WAS RIGHT! Doing CPR on an open chest wound will in fact "juice them like an orange" so you should only start CPR if you are 100% sure their heart is stopping and they are losing their pulse. Its not about the general effectiveness of CPR and "whether someone is breathing or not" And he isnt making jokes or starting some sort of "does CPR really work" conspiracy theory Its a simple question about the effectiveness of CPR **SPECIFICALLY** on a gunshot wound to the chest, a place you cant tourniquet Bozo 🧠
@Impaler118Ай бұрын
CPR on a person who had a gunshot wound to the head and was killed instantly is a bit different to just a shot in the chest. It was likely the 911 operator who requested her to start CPR not knowing the extent of her injuries.

Once someone asks for a lawyer or even mentions a lawyer no line of questioning is admissible
@oldmanballer5088Ай бұрын
Wrong. I just watch a lawyer go over this and he said she didn’t ask for a lawyer she said should I get a lawyer and I might need to get a lawyer. She has to demand one. You must say I want a lawyer. You have to ask for one not do what she did. He said they could continue questioning because she didn’t say I want a lawyer. It’s crazy but he said there’s been two case he’s aware of the a Supreme Court ruled you must ask, not do what she did.
@JadeAnnabelArtАй бұрын
That's not even a little bit true. Courts and cops will both argue your wordplay unless you're 10000% clear. You need to specifically say "I am invoking my right to remain silent," followed by 'I am invoking my right to an attorney.' Then? STFU. Zip it. Don't give a single syllable to the police. A good example is Alek Minassian (2018 Toronto Van Attack) who DID invoke his right to counsel, counsel told him to zip it, and he still sung like a canary. So the cops, and court, could still use everything because he spoke against counsel.

@@JadeAnnabelArtthey can argue wording all they want but it’s up to a judge with a head on his shoulders to determine if someone was reasonably requesting a lawyer.
