My brother actually got his 14 year old girlfriend pregnant when he was 14. I was only like 5 but my mother talked to me about it when I was older. My mother and the mother’s mother spoke with the pair and they all decided the baby would be raised and brought up by the mother’s mom but they would be open about the biology with the child. They were nowhere near ready for that responsibility but my brother is still in his son’s life and hung out with and helped take care of him throughout his childhood, as well as the child’s bio mom. I work in Labor and Delivery. We have cases like this all the time but what makes it different is that the moms did the right thing and called for help once the baby started coming out. We will always help to the best of our abilities, no matter what the outcome may be.
