It's English based, believe it or not, mixed with African and Indian, Guyana is officially an English speaking country.

I am not sure which African Language (S) and which of the many Hindi languages too, Indians were brought from various parts of India . The Indians and Africans were brought to Guyana in the 1800s by the British to work in the Sugar Plantations, hence all the languages.
