How do you do the initial pencil sketch? That's always the hardest part for me and minor inaccuracies really show up at the end.

Do you have any tips for drawing white hairs on a black dog? My reference photo is of an elderly black lab who has quite a lot of aging, thus many many white and gray hairs in the face… but on top of the black fur it seems so difficult to do!

Thank you! I always use the most textured side, but with Canson 1557 180grams there isn't a real big difference between the 2 sides though:)
