In the event you are not aware, pastel can be almost completely removed (as on the edge of the wolf’s shoulder) with a cotton swab and a little water. Once dried, a new layer can be applied. This _only_ works with _Clairefontaine’s Pastelmat_ cards or paper. It will _not_ work on other “sanded” surfaces. Too, pastel will not permanently adhere to the surface when applied over the top of thicker colored pencil lines, even on Pastelmat. I hope that helps. This is a great picture, by the way! Thanks for sharing your talent.

I have just discovered your excellent video and I have a question for you : why do you use color pencils over pastel pencils instead of using only pastel pencils ? Thank you!! Oh that's a tough one, because every horse or dog is different and I tend to use many different colors in each drawing. But, the easiest would be to get started with black, white and grey tones. In grey scale you can draw every animal realistically and get used to pastel pencils at the same time:)

Yes they are definitely quicker! Does depend a bit on how much detail you want of course but the layering process is quicker:)
