Turkey used Leopard 2A4 tanks in 2017 against ISIS and they got wiped out by ISIS using old soviet and american equipment. Not sure which Leopards they are sending to Ukraine right now probably the same ones 2A4.There are newer versions of course like the 2a5, ,2a6 and the 2a7 ones mainly reserved for the German military, so not sure that they will be sending these ones.

Last, I stood right next to one of those, it feels as if your soul leaves from your behind when it fires live rounds. The ominious roar when their engine starts up somewhere in hide commands a sound respect, more so, when you see them at full go, orchestrating their deadly power in difficult terrain and you realize, they take turn to dart off another bullseye +2kms away with an ease that would leave the recieving end in terror. We learned to respect them on excs, knowing they'd prbl already located our positions, talking about waiting for your last moment, feeling the engine roar through the ground, dang, correctly deployed, the latest A7s send an even more deadly frag shell as far as 5kms, no misses, wiping out infantry. If the UDF🇺🇦 are as agressive and pro as the tankers, I've met, and the intel overview delivers, this war tech is terrifying for any opponent

They did in Iraq, from the M1 and British Tanks. The then well trained Iraq's by Russians, T72 all well trained by Russians says it all pretty much. Once the Leopards cut that line by blowing up tanks 500O meters away, waking the Russians UP to the fact hell it is coming, and a good 8 rounds per tank as they move through that line killing even more as they roll through non stop. By the time they close on that 500 meter T 72 firing range gap it is no longer 500 meters but perhaps 2000. Effect 100's of T72 ,and armored vehicles now Toast. All in Minutes, hell has come to the Russian front, rolling death with every round. Just make sure the IFV's keep up protecting those darlings of death as they move behind enemy lines and prosecute.

@TD Not really. Tanks shouldn't fight tanks, that was an outdated doctrine in WW2. Germany took out an incredible number of Soviet tanks with infantry and AT guns. Also, the Tiger was far superior to the T34. Educate yourself.

They'll need long supply lines, support crews and regular maintenance to keep them operational. Being that Ukranian supply routes are getting cut off daily, they have no properly trained support crews and they've been abandoning their gear every time they're forced to retreat.....these tanks aren't going to last five minutes.

Outdated tanks aren't going to last long against modern Russian launchers. They also require supply lines, support crews and regular maintenance. The Ukranian army now consists of mostly poorly trained conscripts, so these tanks will either be abandoned when they run out of fuel or get blown up by the russians.

You have to take Germanys past into account. It's not easy for us to send german tanks to kill Russians again. The last time we put so much guilt on us that we still feel the heavy burden our ancestors created with 27 million dead Russians. On the other hand we also feel the need to pay our Eastern Europeans back what we did to them. It's difficult for the German soul to accept that the everlasting peace was just a dream and that Russia is our enemy again allthough we tried everything so that won't happen again.
