He’s a normal everyday guy too. Here in Toronto it’s common to see Geddy in one of the grocery stores in his neighbourhood, or at his seats behind home plate at the Blue Jays games. Obviously he’s very recognizable, especially here, but he’s very easygoing and always smiling just going about his day. No “celebrity” attitude whatsoever, just a lovely guy.

When I was 16, a friend of my best friend's family was a stage manager(or lighting director? I can't remember) on that tour, so we got all access passes. Didn't get to meet any of the bands but it was still a blast! I had never heard of Primus until that night.

the weird thing is that the term: slapping and popping was very common mid 80s. Simply because Mark King of Level 42 made that kind of playing very visual on TV. We were talking then about slapping bass.

I’d say that slap bass started to be a thing pre-Level 42, Stanley Clarke favoured it a lot, and it was a preset built into the Fairlight CMI
