Whew! That's alot of Brits on a single Starship!! Hahaha. This was very well done, btw. I'm usually not into these fan Star Trek productions but I was very impressed with the sets, CG, script, and overall production. The acting was pretty good for a fan film as well. My only criticism is to think about how people talk and interact. Most of the time we don't speak or reply immediately. There are subtle pauses (sometimes not so subtle) all the time. It brings more tension and believability. Yes, it would have increased the run-time a bit, but I for one wouldn't have minded. Oh, and uh.... CBS called. They said to #ceaseAndDesist

@@willtabacchi1408 Not everybody has the technical know-how to fix these problems. A lot of the minutia of film making isn't common knowledge. You know this was not to bad. I agree with a lot that if the production was a bit higher this would be spot on but for what it is they did a damn good job. The Captain seems a bit to chill to tell the truth while everyone seems have more emotions. What cracks me up is this is like giving CBS the middle finger and saying look we played by your rules, did the episode in 15 min, told a good story and put out a better episode then you have with your big budget.

There was only a few things that really stuck out with me but otherwise it was pretty decent for a fan film! The details on the LCARS panels were pretty clear, as well as the captain's thread on her sleeve, the LT with the glasses (which I assume in the 24th Century is purely aesthetic? One scene the captain's combadge was on one side of her uniform a couple of seconds later it was on the right side of the uniform... Several actors stood out to me such as the commander and the two helm officers and the LT Miller? (the one who survived from the runabout) The Captain seemed a bit 2D to me. Looking forward to Deception 3! :D

Pretty good except for two small details. The first officer's audio seems somewhat distorted. Noticeably different when he speaks than when any other officer does. As if his audio was on one entirely different sound file, and everyone else's on another. Very strange. Second, the bridge seemed far too small to be an Excelsior Class Star Ship. Other than that, it was pretty good. The space battle effects were definitely professional and done properly.

Pretty good. As usual in Star Trek, the astronomical nature of nebulae is completely misunderstood and misrepresented. What we had here were the outer layers of a gas giant. The stuff is way, way, way too dense for an actual nebula. This bugs me because I'm an astronomer.

@Mr A Productions You mean Tardigrades right? The show based on that Tardigrade indie game huh?
@onidaaitsubasa41776 жыл бұрын
@@Artifactsofmars I think if they would have just named the show Tardigrades and left Star Trek out of it, I think it would have been a good show, but instead of making a deal and pay some royalties to the developer of the game they would rather try to pass it off as a Star Trek show, I guess they think everyone is stupid, then they write the Tardigrade out of the show so they can avoid more legal trouble, even though the Tardigrade was one of the most interesting things on the show. So they base a show on a game about Tardigrades and then put the Tardigrade out of the show, so now what? How will season 2 ever be better than the first? Actually I know how they could have really made it really interesting. Season 1 ends where they get lost, well they could have made them get lost in the past somewhere in the Delta quadrant in a strange part of space. The doctor still is out of it from the spatial jump, the entire crew starts having trouble concentrating on things and they don't know if it's from the jump or some other anomaly. The only one not affected is the cyborg girl because of the cybernetic components in her brain. So as the crew starts to turn more and more into babbling idiots the engineer creates some devices which will connect everybody's mind to the cyborg girl so she can help bring order to everyone's minds. So they slip into a type of hive mind and continue to try to find a way back because another jump will kill the doctor. So they travel all around a part of the Delta quadrant meeting different races, having a few battles, and the find that being connected actually helps them do their tasks and battles better. Towards the end of the season they find a race that uses an advanced form of medical nanites for healing and repair to damaged organs. So they think that a modified version of the nanites might help the doctor to make the jump without harm. The doctor now with the modified nanites find that they make him feel better almost euphoric. He expresses concern about the others possibly having more negative effects from another jump and says they should all get injected with the nanites, so they do and prepare for the jump back home. As they are about to jump the nanites have some kind of electromagnetic reaction with the interface and the shore drive overloads and explodes, and that the end of season 2.

super impressed by the production but as can be expected certain things stick out like a sore thumb. Firstly, casting was way off, like waaaaay off (the captain especially- painfully terrible). Same actors, different roles, problem solved. Too much Britain, I'm British so much love on that front, but the united federation of planets is made up of all human cultures and federation allied alien species. The acting's cheesy anyway (to be expected so its not a dig) so throw in one american, maybe a Russian or some European accents somewhere and just one other alien on the bridge would have been a nice touch. Great set in general, but you could have done a little bit of cheap modding to the office chair (captains chair). Awesome cgi so no complaints there considering the perceived budget. I have one issue with the story line, Klingons would not show mercy or offer the chance to leave. They would have boarded the vessel, taken prisoners and the ship as bounty in the name of the klingon empire. Sorry to nit pick but if your going to use the franchise you gotta get it right. Other than that i really enjoyed it so massive thumbs up from me ;)

A rectangular bridge? They would of had to have seen the large lumps in the black duct tape that held the bridge set together. The Vulcan's ears without blending makeup on the back side. Then don't film a closeup on the backside of the vulcan's head. It wasn't that bad of a film, but they could have been a lot more careful in some aspects.

This wasn't as tight a story as part 1 but it's good to see the continuation of the tale. The reveal at the end promises many interesting things! If I could change anything it would be the wide shot of the bridge, as it reveals the limitations of the size of the set. This is an Excelsior class, after all! Keeping only one wall visible would infer a far greater size bridge than what was actually built. Other than that the production design was excellent and is an excellent contribution to the adventures in the 24th century
