Perfect description. Unfortunately this song has killed my hype for the album. I don't mind when metal bands actively work to break the shackles of being "metal" -- but this song was honestly boring instrumentally. I like Einar's vocals, but it's the instruments that made Leprous one of my favorite metal bands, and those do not feel present enough.

@@JeremyJensenTheOriginal I could agree that it's perhaps harmonically boring (very much a stock chord sequence), but in no way is it instrumentally boring, in places the interplay between them is pretty intricate. Anyway, on second listen I actually love it, despite myself!

Lyrics: When I'm far from home I feel blurry Where my weight is gone There is nothing Whenever I go wrong I hear the same old song Voices from below I fear it never goes away All I could do in the end was wait Laying down with my faith All I could do in the end was wait United with my fears I'll alleviate The loop goes on and on Until my mind is gone Gone in circles The barricades are strong Each feeling all alone Have to accept it The tower can be torn Before the cape is worn Losing control It's the only way of living All I could do in the end was wait Laying down with my faith All I could do in the end was wait United with my fears I'll alleviate All I could do was wait Laying down with my faith All I could do was wait Now I will alleviate All I could do was wait Laying down with my faith All I could do in the end was wait Laying down with my faith

I am pretty sure it says "fate" and not "faith". Also, it might say "before the cave is born" but I am not sure about that one.

@@FixxxerZ7 we still haven't figured out parts from golden prayers, this is brand new, all we can do is wait :p (btw you might be right about fate but who knows)

"The loop goes on and on", I feel, makes a bit more sense there.

@@nostalcholy And now after I listened to it a few more times, I am hearing faith hahaha. I don't know, I can hear both. I was definitely wrong about the cave part, it does say cape and worn I think now
