I requested Leprous a while back on I think the Karnivool video or Tesseract video. Glad you checked them our, they're my favorite band and are extremely talented. This is a good song, but its definitely one of their more straightforward songs. They have a lot of different sounds too. This is off their newest album, which is their least heavy and most vocal focused. They're truly amazing.

This band literally doesn’t have a bad song. If you want to hear something heavier from them, try “Forced Entry”. 😊

I love seeing people check out Leprous and other amazing prog/metal bands from Scandinavia that otherwise get little attention outside their fanbase. Really glad you enjoyed it so much and you pretty much hit the nail on the head with your analysis 👌

100% proper video. It's 4/4 and it is nice how Einar does melody in plyrhytmic background. And yes it is singiel. If this guy listens to this first time, he is right to do this channel. Good job! Sub :)

I can dig it, it seems up my alley. I think their vocalist contributed to a Haken song ‘The Architect’ in 2016 with some harsh/screams. So hearing this was quite pleasant too. I see where some people had said Haken’s Vector sounded like Leprous.

From what I know about Leprous, they play in 4/4 but a very syncopated 4/4 with other rhythms on top! EDIT: This is probably their most straight forward release. You're correct in From the Flames being a single. Their back catalogue is progressive metal. Check out "Contaminate Me" if you wanna experience the opposite end of the spectrum of their sound.

For me the drumming stood out, I also liked how the guitar colored up the song. i liked the vocal melody during the chorus, but overall the vocals fell short for me.

3 👂🏽’s falling off. Pretty good for a band named after a horrible skin condition. Excellent guitar sound. Good drumming. In and out falsetto hard to get used to (the anti-growl). Parts of it reminds me of Spock’s Beard. Love the “Light” /“Water” album. Best song is ‘FU/I’m Sorry, in which Neil Morse curses very loudly, then apologizes. Probably can’t play it on your channel :(.

This band is new to me, but I don’t hear much here to make me want to dig in any further. Drumming is cool in the bridge breakdown. But overall, meh.

Sounds quite a bit like Tool and I don't like Tool.

Maybe it's just me, but the singer and the band don't sound like they belong together. I heard a lot of unnecessarily showy riffs in there. Something that I find is common with a lot of "modern" music beginning in the 90's and continuing to this day.

Not a fan of the vocals in this band, just doesn't really rub me the right way, but I semi-like this song
