@@Dwendele I listened to The track "The Wilde Flowers" from Opeth back in 2018 i think, its a good track and the vocalist has a great vocal range, but Slave has been my go to track for 5 years now. I have experienced it Live at Royal Albert Hall as a warm up for Devin Townsend, and on Sentrum Scene in Oslo. Leprous Live is a great experience. Maybe i should go to an Opeth concet aswell.

Despite listening to them over the last few years, I still love how small details like Einar's voice crumbling down in emotions in "Cloud Of Dust" and other gritty touches in (@2:17 ) ; such a performance. The production here is nothing short of insane. Most live productions of this kind, despite how great the performance, sound stripped of what makes the live experience so great. This, though...this is something else entirely. Not only does it almost feel like I'm there (thanks to some really masterful mixing), but all the musical elements have come together in a way that I've seldom, if ever, heard before on a live recording. To say that I'm eager to listen to the rest is an understatement.

While yes, it's ridiculous to chock up a whole band's talent to one person, there is absolutely reason to compliment and attribute the band's songwriting to Einar. He's not just there to "look pretty and sing well", that's equally disrespectful and assumes he's akin to the majority of other metal/prog vocalists. Again, it's not like he's the sole songwriter, but a large amount of the riffs, motifs, and storytelling that makes Leprous Leprous is Einar's doing.

Whoever hasn't, do yourself a favour and watch Leprous live. They're fucking insane. I've wanted them to release a DVD for a while. The quality on this looks great, but the setlist is relatively weak imho. Yes you want to promote your latest album, but this is their first DVD, and I think they should have chosen a few songs from every album (especially TPS and Bilateral). Anyway, the performance is stellar as usual. What does the director have against Oystein btw? Barely showed him

I was at this show and i was a bit curious about how it would turn out. They had one camera on the gallery and as far as i noticed a few handheld cameras including an SLR camera. But the quality is good judging from this video, but as you say, Einar is not much in the spotlight. For the setlist, i am disappointed they never do stuff from Tall Poppy live anymore. Saw them twice in 2010 so i have seen them do most of the album live.

As a newer Leprous fan, I can say that I fail to really like TPS. I love bits and pieces - like the solos and the chorus in White - but there are many valleys alongside those peaks. So I understand the guys in the band. Leprous's fanbase is steadily growing thanks to their newer music. And as their older material is so drastically different, it may be a bit risky to focus on it live. Oh, and yeah, I think the Congregation tracks allow their awesomeness as a live band to shine in its full glory. The studio album is very restrained in sound, so there is much space to let it loose live. The verses in Third Law are a prime example.

...This keyboard sound with the super-low guitar tone at the very beginning reminds me of soundtracks at the beginning of original Final Fantasy VII game ! More seriously, I strongly recommend to anyone remotely interested in live metal shows to see those guys on stage, never seen such an energy, almost never felt such a thrill as when hearing their live performance of Forced Entry... Just amazing! The second drummer is Leprous former drummer Tobias Ørnes Andersen! He left the band in 2014 I think
