You should make that passenger seat quick release for some weight savings at the track. As someone else has said, lithium battery will cut a few lbs. Might want to look into stiffer springs for the coils as well to help with the suspension.

The one thing you guys change that you probably didn't think about which now you should probably run a sway bar if so.... That aluminum brace that you had is more rigid very stiff and chromoly is I'm guessing what you have now to adjust the difference for tubular for strength but at the same time it's not very rigid and flexes a lot.... So it will transmit a lot of sway to the front end if everything is just not right.... Ironically you sacrifice one thing for another thing.... Wish you best and keep making America great

Next time you align the car, strap down the rear, and lift up the front a little to simulate the loading and unloading of the suspension during acceleration. You'd be amazed at what squatting does to the toe and camber of a car.

Mark Carlyle has been 6.50s st 220mph with the IRS setup. Not that he has the power to run those numbers. Just saying that's really not the problem. It's going to get very tricky trying to run in the 7s consistently and without breaking with the manual trans. He likes that stick shift class so more power to him. Wish him luck.

That might help the 60 foot time. The 4 links are known for planting the tires off the line because they can use engine torque to plant the tires instead of just using the inertia of the sprung mass reacting against the suspension linkage.

Hi Cleetus ,its a very exciting racing machine. I wonder if the new engine mounts are the issue for breaking the differential. Because of the harder clutch shock to the drive train. On the other side the vibrations can damage the parts from the Engine Mount. Hopefully the new Diff will work fine. greetings from Germany ;-)
